There's history here....way back to pre-pandemic.
These two ladies are the original RunTekAKademy athletes. We worked hard all winter long leading up to the spring of 2020 only to have our season taken away by COVID.
The next school year, COVID was in full-swing & we didn't even have kids in school. There weren't many training options & COVID seemed to get the better of us.
Thankfully the 2021 track season happened because it's an outdoor sport & both young ladies were able to taste their passion once more. Both ended their Sr. & Jr. seasons qualifying for the State meet. Carissa (left) won the 100m, 100h & placed 2nd in the 200m for Divison 2. Olyvia placed 3rd in the 100m & 4th in the 100h for Division 1.
In the Fall, 2021, Olyvia Mamae (right) committed to off-season training starting in October after her flag football season. Carissa was busy finishing up her senior year of school & trained with us once the season began.
The 2022 track & field season found Olyvia knocking on the door of several State All-Time Records in both sprints & hurdles. Aside from being the fastest in all 4 of her events (100m, 100h, 200m, & 300h), she ended up making the top 10 fastest in the history of the state in 3 of those events:
100m - 6th All-time - 12.27
100h - 8th All-time - 15.2
200m - 8th All-time - 25.37
She is also the 1st female athlete in the history of the state to win the 100m & 100m hurdles back-to-back for large schools.
Carissa also did amazing things during the 2022 track season. She ended up the fastest in all 4 of her events just like Olyvia and she is the 1st female athlete to win State in all 4 of her individual events.
Carissa graduated last year & is moving on with her life. She is a great young lady and it was a joy working with her.
Olyvia has another year of high school & is on "track" to run in college. Her season last year proved her able to compete in the D1 ranks in college so we're looking forward to her potentially setting some state records this upcoming season & eventually getting a scholarship for college.
I ❤️ both you guys very much & I'm very proud of your accomplishments both on & off the track.
Go RunTek! 🏃♀️

This is Niko Alailefaleula. He's the "Powerhouse" of the 2022 RunTekAKademy Squad.
Niko joined RunTek with the intention to get faster for his main sport which is football.
Niko got much faster after he began his training and then we suckered him into coming out for his high school track team.
Not only is he the starting leg on the boys Varsity 4x100m relay, but he is also top 5 in the Region for both the shot put and discus.
Super proud of this kid!🙌 He truly is a "Powerhouse."💪😡👍
