2024/25 Season✅

Wrapped up the season with 3rd in the North Island Championship and 4th overall in the NZ Championship, stoked with how it all came together. We had an awesome final weekend at Manfeild, kicking things off with 2nd in qualifying in tricky conditions, which set us up strong. The dry pace wasn’t quite where we wanted to be, but we kept making improvements on the car all weekend and finished on a high with a mega final race that locked in 4NZ. As well as all these great results it was awesome to win the teams championship alongside my teammate Sam Dashfield. It’s been great fun working alongside Sam having great battles on track and plenty of laughs off track.

Massive thank you to everyone who’s been part of the journey this season, it’s been such a cool ride and I’ve had an unreal amount of fun. Huge thank you to JP for the opportunity to drive this weapon of a car, I’ve absolutely loved it and can’t wait to get back in it. And of course thank you to my family for all the support, especially my Dad for the late nights and long hours making sure the car was ready so I could stay on top of university.

Time to reset and come back fighting next season.

Not the weekend we had hoped for at Taupo. It all started with a fuse blowing in the first race, forcing a DNF. But the team pulled together, and we got the car sorted for race 2, where I made a solid recovery from P19 to P8. Unfortunately, the gearbox gave out in the final race, leaving me limping to the finish line just to secure some points. A tough one, but that’s motorsport. Huge thanks to everyone who helped to get the car back out on track. Now it’s time to focus on Manfield this weekend for the final round. Hoping to finish the championship strong!

Great to be back on track at Hampton Downs last weekend after the South Island tour! Awesome to be running in the top 5 for most of the weekend, huge thanks to everyone who helped get the car ready after the last few weeks. Had to take an off in race 2 to avoid an incident, which dropped me back in the field, but it was a great fun making my way back through the pack. Excited to carry this form into the next round of the championship at Taupo on March 29-30!

Had a fantastic weekend down at Highlands! The car had some serious pace all weekend, just a couple of small mistakes kept me from a couple of better finishes. Got super lucky to finish the last race after getting caught up in an incident, but managed to pull through and still grab some solid points. Super stoked to come away from the South Island leg of the NZ title in 3rd! Huge shoutout to Mum and Dad for all their hard work and support over the past few weeks. Can’t wait to hit the track again at Hampton Downs for the next North Island round – bring it on!

Up and down first day at Highlands. Struggled all day with car issues which are all fixed for the rest of the weekend. Car had good pace just need to do more laps round this awesome track to find some time. Looking forward to the rest of the weekend.

National Championship RD1 ✅

Had a great time at Teretonga, earning some decent points to start the national championship, placing me 4th overall. I struggled a bit with car pace on Saturday, so we decided to make some changes to the setup for Sunday, and it paid off. I secured a podium in race 2, missing the lap record by just 0.006 seconds. Big thanks to Bruce for his help with the setup. I'm looking forward to hopefully carrying this pace into next weekend at Highlands for RD2.

All set for a big weekend here at Teretonga. The car is feeling good and should go faster across the weekend as I learn the track. Big thanks to Wayne and Tony at AV8 Motorsport and Elton for helping to get the car straight after the last round. A great weekend of racing filled with both highs and lows. The car had great pace all weekend so I was able to fight at the front of the field. Unfortunately in the final race of the weekend I was caught up in an incident which bent a rear arm and resulted in a decent amount of panel damage so I had to limp the car home. Still came away from the weekend with some solid points to help with the championship fight. Time to get the car all fixed up in time ready to head to the South Island for round 1 of the National Championship at Teretonga on the 31-2 February.

Awesome final day at Taupo picking up my first win in the Mazda Racing Series. Was able to lead from start to finish thanks to the car being a rocket ship. Final race of the weekend was a decent one dropping back a bit early in the race to finish P5. Overall stoked with the weekend with plenty of positives to take away as well as moving up to P3 in the championship. Big thanks to my Dad for getting the car prepared between sessions. Looking forward to round 3 at Hampton Downs on the 17-19 January.

Solid day at Taupo coming away with an awesome result in qualifying. Bit of a tough race mucking up the start which put me on the back foot. The car has tones of speed but just struggled to move my way back through the field. Off the front row for race 2 tomorrow so should be a good one.

All set for a big weekend ahead at Taupo Motorsport Park for round 2 of the Mazda Racing Series North Island Championship. Looking forward to running with the new NextGen Championship with a competitive field of RX-8s it should be some great racing.
