Learn to read the wind.

The bullets used for .22 lr are little and light. They’re easily affected by the wind, and the further you’re shooting the greater spread you’ll see on the target. Wind flags will help you judge when and how to shoot.

Here at PQP, we have two kinds of Front Tops to choose from for your rest!

Fuzz Button Front Top

- This top has soft contact points with the stock to ensure the finish on the stock is not damaged. Works with Painted Stocks, High Gloss Wood Stocks, and Fiberglass Stocks. The tension on the side of the stock is easily adjusted and locked. This provides the ultimate stability for your stock while protecting your expensive stock finish.

Delrin Front Top

- The Delrin top works best with non-painted fiberglass stocks. It has a delrin piece on the bottom for the forearm of the stock to ride on as well as Delrin pieces on each side to securely hold the rifle in place. The side pieces are spring loaded and the amount of tension is variable.

Test different lots of ammo.

Every gun is different. Even if you have two very similar rifles, chances are they will prefer different lots. You should plan to test your gun. Buy various boxes of ammunition and see which one groups the best. After determining which brand and lot performs the best, purchase as much as you can find! Once a lot is gone, it's gone.
