Its been a rough few weeks battling some issues with the quad, but Carter was finally able to get back on his A game this weekend. He went 1-1 for 1st overall in the 70 open class after learning to be more aggressive and making some awesome passes. He’s continuing to work hard and push himself to get out of the gate quicker and gaining confidence to jump more and more. As always, we are so proud of him.. especially the sportsmanship he continues to show whether he comes off the track with a smile on his face or tears in his eyes 🧡

Unfortunately Carters oldest brother, Grayden, will be unable to ride for a few weeks after a nasty crash during practice leaving him with a broken collar bone. His other brother, Brennan, was able to ride and left us stunned in the first moto at how much he pushed himself to get faster each lap and even go for some jumps he hasn’t hit yet. Second moto for him was a bummer. He came out of the gate 2nd and was really moving until his intake broke causing his bike to continuously stall. Although there’s some work and maintenance to be done Brennan and Carter will be ready for the next race in 2 weeks!

Carter decided to skip his favorite track and stay at Evansville this weekend to keep himself competitive in points. It was a muddy night for him since it rained and hailed right before practice and poured again before moto 1.

He took 1st in moto 1, but moto 2 we had some mishaps. His quad wasn’t giving him much off the line, and as he was trying to catch up he wound up stuck in a berm. He rode his butt off the rest of the moto finishing in 3rd but almost taking 2nd right at the finish line. Carter was really bummed out but we’re so proud of how he continued to push through and give it his best. There are some kinks to work out in the quad for the next race in 2 weeks!🧡

Race update for Carter:

2 weeks ago was round 3, and it was a rough night for Carter. First moto was great, he took the hole shot and the win. Second moto, his gate never dropped, and his quad shut off on him twice leaving him in 6th.

Today was round 4 and a much better day. Carter took the hole shot in moto 1 and the win. Moto 2 he slept a little off the gate but made some nice passes finishing with the win.

Every week we see him getting a little faster and jumping more and more. He is getting back to and surpassing where he was before he broke his arm. We are so proud of him and can’t wait to see how he finishes the season.

We are skipping Evansville in 2 weeks to race at Jacks Racing with the D6 because it’s his favorite track!

As most people already know, Carter suffered a major arm break back in August. After watching him ride at Motorama and a few practices, we knew he wasn’t 100%, and he said he was still in some pain. We made the decision that it would be best for him to start his season on some smaller tracks to regain his strength and confidence. Today he proved that was the right decision. He’s looking more and more like his old self every time he’s out on the track. He took first in both motos of the 70cc class today and the hole shot in the second moto. Hopefully we get good news from the doctor at his last follow up appointment, and he continues to get stronger and faster each week!

Carter’s brother Brennan also raced today in the Trail Bike class and placed 4th! He just started out on a bike at the end of last season and has made so much profess already. We are all so proud of how well he rode, how hard he works at it, and his positive attitude throughout it all.
