📣 𝐋𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐭é𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝟏𝟔, 𝐌𝟏𝟗 & 𝐌𝟐𝟑 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐫é𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐝𝐮 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐬 𝐝𝐮 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕

The FITB will be seeking approval from our Members to change our youth competitions this year! Our continents can retain the Under-13 level for their own grassroots development, and we will introduce competitions at Under-16, Under-19 and a brand new Under-23 level.

We will give our young athletes a reason to keep playing from 19 to 23 as they continue their journey to participation at the highest levels 🤾🏻‍♂️🤾🏿‍♀️💪🏻

We will invite nations to bid for next year's World Youth Championships soon with these categories in mind 👀

تعلن لجنة تنظيم بطـــولة افريقيــا للتشـوكبـــال تونــس 2026 عن فتح باب التسجيــل لجميع الجمعيات واللاعبين واللاعبات الراغبين في المشاركة في هذه البطولة المميـــزة.
ونظـــرا لأهمية تمثيل المنتخب الوطني في بطولة افريقيا للتشوكبال التي ستنظم بالمنستيـــر من 20 إلى 26 جويليــة 2026، يســرنا دعوة جميع اللاعبين واللاعبات المتميزين من مختلف الأندية والجمعيات الرياضية للمشاركة في يوم اختبــارات (عطلـــة فيفــــري) لاختيـــار أفضل اللاعبيــــن واللاعبات لتمثيـــل المنتخـــب الوطنـــي في هذه البطــولــة

❤️ Dr. Hermann Brandt, inventor of the tchoukball, was born on 6. October 1897. He was born 127 years ago in Chaux-de-Fonds Switzerland. 🇨🇭

Tchoukball is a sport that was developed in the 1970s by Dr Hermann Brandt (1897-1972). He was born in La Chaux-de-Fonds and began studying medicine in Geneva. Among other things, he introduced women's basketball, sports for the disabled and volleyball to Switzerland for the first time around 1930.
Hermann Brandt promoted tchoukball for as long as he could. However, he did not do this alone. He is particularly indebted to Michel Favre, who helped him as much as possible in the development of this sport. Together, they managed to popularise the sport, initially in Switzerland, but also to export it to other continents. Without these two great personalities, tchoukball would not exist and would not be what it is today. They have invested a great deal of time and energy to achieve the success that the sport enjoys today.
