After the embarrassing start to the first test of Sunday's Motorkhana, (not enough fuel in the tank!), here's how the 2nd run of the first test BIGEYES transpired!

"OFFCENTRIC" test to complete the day.
Only ran this one once.
We had done 2 runs of "ECCENTRIC" before this, so we had an idea of the tightness of the slalom.

Quick suspension swap to wrap up the 2024 SEAC Autocross series last night.
Ran 3 double lap heats before the tea break & managed to get into a rhythm fairly quickly, snagging the 3rd quickest time, (behind an EVO VI & a WRX), on the 3rd heat just before tea.
Had bolted the lights on but deemed it not dark enough to switch them on for that run.
After the tea break we reverted back to our normal lap style & I ran with some yellow covers on the spotties.
It wasn't dusty enough to make a noticeable difference in those conditions, but the illumination and colour were surprisingly comfortable to drive with.
Have ended up 5th outright (3rd 2wd) against a quality field of competitors.
Now to change the car back to tarmac spec for a Khanacross on the 1st December, followed up by a Motorkhana on the 7th!

It was a pretty big lead-up week for this year's 2024 Trident Tyres Legend of the Lakes Hillclimb.
The Dirty S13 Silvia got slightly un-dirtied!
I haven't been doing many Hillclimbs this year & not competing at last year's Legends certainly showed this year.
Car was a real handful & tried to kill me on many occasions!
Made some minor front-end alignment adjustments & managed to peel off this 62.06 seconds run on Sunday.
Thanks to Bunnings for the sanding stuff & rattle cans of paint, (& sparkles).
Thanks to fellow competitor & Nissan steerer Fred for selling me some slightly (ab)used Nankang AR-1 tyres. (p.s. hope those beers taste good!)

Damien & the S13 Silvia have finished 4th Outright & 1st in Class D!
Back home after a busy end to last week & doing some dirty skids the last couple of days!
Car misbehaved late last week, but I managed to convince the voices in my head to still go away & compete.
Had a cracker weekend of Dirty Khanacross skids!
p.s. car behaved very well!
p.p.s. need some newer rear tyres!

harwoodtiming Data are live updated in near real time if the timekeepers provide a live stream. At start : The next competitor ready to start. On run : All the running competitors. Last finished : The last competitors who finished the run. Ranking : Time in green are the best sector time.

COPYWORLD 2024 SA AUTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP/SERIES/RALLYSPRINT/REGULARITY Final run for the day, 2nd run on the monster 6.5km course!(Only the last half of this was timed for the Autocross component.)
Very limited phone service available today Walky Park.
Event complete, car back on the trailer & a couple of shiny things to join with the others at home!
