As March comes to a close, so does the cross country ski season. And it was the best one yet for DNSC!

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated volunteers who made the magic happen, those who came out to our community day, donated skiies to our future ski library, and everyone who supported by getting out to enjoy the trails and spreading the word this season!

Trails remain open until March 31 but won’t be groomed. See you next year! ❄️

Trail condition update Wednesday March 18: We had the best March Break helpers today out grooming the trails! Fresh classic and skate track.

It’s the winter that can’t stop won’t stop!

Trail condition update: Sunday March 15. The latest snow keeping spring skiing alive! Fresh skate and classic track set as of this morning. Slightly adjusted route to avoid where spring run off is cutting through some trail sections.
Go get that final ski of the season in! ❄️🤸‍♀️

Trail condition update Friday March 12: Some sections of trail are holding on for dear life! Icy and no class track set, rock skies recommended and beware the river crossing 😅

If we get the snow that’s promised, our volunteers plan to work their magic to keep spring skiing alive for another week! ✨

Trail condition update Thursday March 5: Good snow coverage throughout the trails, but it has been too warm for our volunteers to groom ahead of the rain we’re expecting. Classic track still in good shape and skate is soft/slow.

Parking lot is starting to get muddy, consider parking on road to avoid getting stuck!

Sunday Feb 22 - Freshly groomed this morning. ❄️ Snow will be a little soft, especially for skate!

What a winter we are having! 😍❄️ Freshly groomed trails today after the latest dump of snow! Skate and classic track in excellent condition.

Our dedicated volunteers got out tonight to sneak in an extra groom to keep trails in top condition. Skate and classic track should be excellent tomorrow morning after firming up over night.

From our families to yours, hope you enjoy a little extra time playing together outdoors this long weekend. 💕

February 12th - fresh tracks were set this morning along with groomed skate trails. Hopefully you can get out on your skis this weekend!

February 7th - while most of us are staying warm indoors watching the Olympics (Go Canada 🍁), one of our volunteers braved the cold temperatures to groom the trails after the snow and wind.
