151 km Task 8 at the World Hang Gliding Champs was the Flying Kiwis best day so far. They really have caught their second wind and flying well againt the European AI pilots!

Macedonia Worlds task 7
In the absence of many pics today I am posting all the screen shots from your fans back home. We post them on the WhatsApp chat group and I have included all of them from last night.
The google earth grapics are amazing and if you zoom in you can see great detail of the ground they are flying over. Most prefer to watch on topomaps to get more contrast.
I will coment on a few of these after a sleep!

Three nice Flying Kiwi takeoffs in two videos. They managed to get places in the 10 early bird takeoffs.
Some crazy long flights today.
Steve ended up in the air for 6hrs and 10mins, flew 116kms and beat Ollie by 0.6kms!
The Flying Kiwis had a huge day in the saddle for task 7. A 151km task zig zagging up and down the valley was set. Long hours in the air and a long, exciting, sleepless night for their fans back in NZ.

Steve landed beside Ollie but not before flying an anoying 0.6kms further. That will cost you a lion brown Ollie!
Steve Cronin has had two phone melt downs but tells me it is sorted now. Hence we have very few pics from the boys today.

Task 6 at the Worlds. The Flying Kiwis had their best day yet. They all got off to a 'flying' start and at one point the nightwatch support crew in NZ could see four of our pilots on live tracking near turn point one.

The Flying Kiwis placings are well down but just competeing in the World Hang Gliding Champs is a win! Steve Bankier is currently in 101st place but he flew for an amazing 5 hours yesterday to acheive that! Go Steve 👍

🤔 the day has started overcast and light drizzle at the moment. I think the weather report was off a bit.
Something people probably don’t know about Steve C is that under the shirt of his is a six pack to die for. Lucky he left his shirt on while he was stretching/warming up for the drive ahead. As he would say “nobody needs to see that”
