TSSN MARKET WATCH: Upper Cumberland Volleyball Stocks Continue to Move

By TSSN Staff Reports

Presented by Realty Empire LLC

The ticker keeps moving across the Upper Cumberland volleyball scene.

As the season develops and district races begin taking shape, the TSSN Upper Cumberland Volleyball Market Watch continues to track the players whose production, consistency and impact are separating them from the field.

The Market Watch isn’t simply about kills. Outside hitters finishing points, middles controlling the net, setters running an offense, liberos keeping teams in system, defensive specialists extending rallies and servers putting opponents under pressure all carry value.

Some players have established themselves as Strong Buys. Others are climbing through the market.

And remember: the board can change every week.

🔥 STRONG BUY

Mileigh Potts — Trousdale County | Outside Hitter | Class of 2028

There may not be a hotter offensive stock on the board right now than Mileigh Potts.

The Trousdale County outside hitter has put together an incredible run:

19 kills vs. Innovation Academy
22 kills vs. Gordonsville
24 kills vs. Portland
22 kills vs. Friendship Christian
20 kills vs. Westmoreland

That’s 107 kills over five matches, an average of 21.4 kills per match.

And Potts is only a Class of 2028 prospect.

Five consecutive performances with at least 19 kills aren’t a flash in the pan. That’s sustained offensive dominance.

MARKET WATCH: STRONG BUY 📈

Presley Hickman — Upperman | Outside Hitter

Hickman continues to establish herself as one of the Upper Cumberland’s premier volleyball players.

She delivered 19 kills, 11 digs and five aces in Upperman’s 3-1 victory over Stone Memorial and followed with 14 kills in a sweep of Gordonsville.

Hickman can finish at the net, contribute defensively and create pressure from the service line.

MARKET WATCH: STRONG BUY 📈

Lauren Clark — Stone Memorial | Middle Hitter

Clark has made the jump up the board.

The Stone Memorial middle hitter has emerged as one of the Lady Panthers’ key weapons at the net and earns a place among the Strong Buys. She also recently recorded her 500th career kill to further strengthen her long term outlook.

A quality middle changes an offense by forcing opposing blockers to respect the center of the net while also providing a defensive presence against opposing attacks.

Clark’s impact has her stock moving in a major way !

MARKET WATCH: STRONG BUY 📈

Raechel Schliter — Monterey | Outside Hitter

Schliter has developed into one of Monterey’s most dangerous offensive weapons.

She has recorded 57 kills and 14 aces, an impressive offensive output for a player who has also been recognized for her defensive ability.

Schliter isn’t simply a defensive specialist who can attack.

She’s becoming one of the Upper Cumberland’s legitimate offensive threats.

MARKET WATCH: STRONG BUY 📈

Sofia Bottoms — Cookeville | Hitter

Twenty aces.

In one match.

Bottoms accomplished that against Wilson Central, showing just how quickly she can change a match from behind the service line.

When one player can create that much pressure without the opponent even getting into its offense, the market takes notice.

MARKET WATCH: STRONG BUY 📈

Ava Skelton — Smith County

Skelton delivered one of the biggest recent stat lines in the region with 19 kills, five digs, one block and one ace.

Approaching 20 kills is impressive enough. Producing in multiple other phases makes the performance even more valuable.

MARKET WATCH: STRONG BUY 📈

Averi Beyers — Clarkrange | Libero

The Market Watch isn’t only about offense.

Beyers has a legitimate argument as one of the best liberos in the region.

Her ability to control the back row, handle serve receive and turn difficult attacks into playable balls gives Clarkrange opportunities to transition into offense.

Great liberos don’t always dominate the stat sheet.

They can dominate matches.

MARKET WATCH: STRONG BUY 📈

📈 BUY

Emma Cook — Cookeville

Cook gives Cookeville another player in the BUY-or-better category.

Her impact alongside Bottoms gives the Lady Cavaliers multiple weapons and makes Cook another player TSSN will continue tracking closely.

MARKET WATCH: BUY 📈

Ava Seitner — Cumberland County

Seitner puts Cumberland County firmly on the Market Watch board.

The Lady Jet has earned a BUY rating as one of Cumberland County’s players making an impact this season.

MARKET WATCH: BUY 📈

Josie Bush — Upperman

Upperman’s offensive depth makes the Lady Bees extremely difficult to defend.

Bush delivered 14 kills and four aces in Upperman’s straight-set victory over Gordonsville.

When opponents have to account for Hickman, Bush and several other weapons, there’s no easy defensive answer.

MARKET WATCH: BUY 📈

EK Pruitt — Upperman

Pruitt is another major piece of Upperman’s attack.

She delivered 14 kills, nine digs and four aces against Stone Memorial, contributing offensively, defensively and from the service line.

That’s the type of complete performance the Market Watch values.

MARKET WATCH: BUY 📈

Cora Monday — Monterey | Middle Blocker

Monday continues to trend upward.

The Monterey middle has 42 kills, a .205 hitting percentage and six blocks.

She has also been ramping up offensively, including a 13-kill performance with only two errors against Sequatchie County.

MARKET WATCH: BUY 📈

Yassi Reed — Monterey | Libero

Reed is one of the best examples of why the Market Watch goes beyond offensive numbers.

Through five matches, she has accumulated 79 digs and 16 assists.

Her ability to keep Monterey in system during both serve receive and rallies creates opportunities for the Lady Wildcats’ hitters.

MARKET WATCH: BUY 📈

Addilyn Smith — Cannon County | Outside Hitter

Smith has provided Cannon County with impressive all-around production.

She’s averaging eight kills, five digs and two aces per match.

That’s offense, defense and service pressure from one player.

MARKET WATCH: BUY 📈

Lanie Foster — Gordonsville | Outside Hitter | Freshman

Foster has already accumulated 43 kills and 63 digs.

Now consider that she’s doing it as a freshman.

She’s already contributing significantly at the varsity level, and the long-term ceiling makes her one of the more intriguing young stocks on the board.

MARKET WATCH: BUY 📈

Stella Beyers — Clarkrange | Outside Hitter | Junior

Beyers brings serious power to the Clarkrange attack.

The junior delivered 12 kills and eight digs against York and has shown the ability to absolutely hammer the volleyball when Clarkrange gets her a quality set.

MARKET WATCH: BUY 📈

Peyton Young — Clarkrange

Young put together a monster performance against York with 11 kills and 10 aces.

Double-digit kills are impressive.

Double-digit aces are impressive.

Doing both in the same match earns attention.

MARKET WATCH: BUY 📈

Tyla Adams — Clay County | Offense

Adams has moved up the Market Watch as one of Clay County’s primary offensive weapons.

Her impact for the Lady Bulldogs earns her a spot in the BUY category as TSSN continues tracking her production through district play.

MARKET WATCH: BUY 📈

👀 ACCUMULATE

Isabella Frye — Gordonsville | Setter | Freshman

Frye has already recorded 86 assists while directing the Gordonsville offense.

Doing that as a freshman makes her particularly intriguing.

MARKET WATCH: ACCUMULATE 👀

Dacey Claywell — Smith County

Claywell produced 16 assists, two kills, three blocks and three aces in a strong all-around performance.

That’s production in almost every phase.

MARKET WATCH: ACCUMULATE 👀

Arden Leffew — Stone Memorial | Setter

Leffew plays a key role in directing the Stone Memorial offense.

With weapons like Lauren Clark available at the net, Leffew’s ability to distribute and consistently put hitters in attacking positions is critical.

MARKET WATCH: ACCUMULATE 👀

Mia Jones — Stone Memorial | Libero

Jones anchors the Lady Panthers’ back-row defense.

Her serve receive and ability to turn opposing attacks into playable balls help Stone Memorial transition into its offense.

MARKET WATCH: ACCUMULATE 👀

Brooke Wilson — Stone Memorial | Defensive Specialist

Wilson gives Stone Memorial another important defensive presence.

Alongside Jones, she helps provide the Lady Panthers with depth and stability on the back row.

MARKET WATCH: ACCUMULATE 👀

Haylen Garrison — Clay County | Defense

While Adams represents Clay County’s offensive side of the Market Watch, Garrison is making her presence felt defensively.

Her work for the Lady Bulldogs keeps her firmly on the ticker.

MARKET WATCH: ACCUMULATE 👀

Emery Rollins — Cannon County | Outside Hitter

Rollins moves into the ACCUMULATE category and remains one of Cannon County’s most interesting two-way players.

The outside hitter is averaging nine kills and 12 digs per match.

Those numbers show the ability to contribute on both sides of the volleyball. TSSN will continue tracking whether that production translates into another move up the board as the season develops.

MARKET WATCH: ACCUMULATE 👀

🔎 WATCH LIST

Ashlyn Selby — White County

Selby puts White County on the ticker.

The Warriorette is officially on the TSSN Watch List as we track her production and impact through the upcoming portion of the schedule.

MARKET WATCH: WATCH 👀

Maddy Henry — White County

Henry gives White County a second player on the radar.

More performances will determine where her stock goes from here.

THE CLOSING BELL

There is plenty of movement in the Upper Cumberland volleyball market.

Mileigh Potts may be the hottest offensive stock on the board after producing 107 kills across five matches for Trousdale County. Upperman’s Presley Hickman continues to show why she belongs near the top, while Stone Memorial’s Lauren Clark has climbed into the Strong Buy category.

Monterey has Schliter at Strong Buy with Monday and Reed at Buy. Cookeville has Bottoms and Cook. Clarkrange has Averi Beyers, Stella Beyers and Young scattered across the top two tiers.

Clay County’s Tyla Adams has moved into BUY, while Cannon County’s Emery Rollins now sits at ACCUMULATE, giving the Lionettes two players on the main board alongside Buy-rated Addilyn Smith.

But that’s what the Market Watch is designed to do.

The board moves.

A WATCH can become an ACCUMULATE.

An ACCUMULATE can become a BUY.

A BUY can become a STRONG BUY.

And a dominant week can put an entirely new name near the top.

Production matters. Consistency matters. Big matches matter. Winning matters.

The ticker is moving.

The season is young.

And the market never stops.
