Studio planning in the making. I cannot wait to do Pilates with this view!
It’s been a long time since I have posted and I feel a bit of shame having not kept this up. Since having little Penelope, we call her Poppy, life got busy. Not only busy because we have a baby, who is now a toddler, but also because we have moved! Our little family moved to Salt Spring Island on the west coast of Canada. Last week we flew with both dogs and the baby and here we are, in paradise. More posts are coming including exercises and general day to day because it’s so beautiful here I cannot resist ❤️
I made it to my due date, and I am still comfortable!
As I am at the end of my pregnancy I often get asked if I am uncomfortable, “Dying” to get the baby out, or it is assumed that I am no longer sleeping. Pregnancy for me has been consistent, I have consistently been exercising, eating well and listening to my body. It is amazing what the power of movement can do to minimize the the uncomfortable feelings that a lot of women endure in pregnancy. I must admit that genetics play into this as well but if this experience has taught me anything it’s that the power of movement (especially pilates) goes beyond visual results. I am ready to welcome this baby into the world, but I am in no rush.
Enjoying that spring sunshine ☀️

Romper
Purse (Check Dia out, she will hook you up with beautiful pre-loved handbags)
Today is and I want to acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments of women near and far. When we work together, we are stronger for it!
This series is a sure way to get the glutes fired up and will help to:
- Work the back of the body
- Open up the front of the body
Series:
1) Bridge up / down x12
2) Pulse - hips lower and lift x16
3) Hip fold x8
4) All 4s (forearms) : leg lever up/down x8
5) All 4s (forearms): leg up hold circles x8 in each direction
6) Flat foot to ceiling- leg press up x8
Repeat the series two times. On the first round do exercises 3-6 with the right leg moving and on the second round do it with the left leg moving.
I have been working on filming a pregnancy series. As my due date gets closer the workouts are getting more difficult. My videos are showing the changes that pregnancy brings, good and bad, and I am hoping that when they are released others will feel more confident knowing they are not the only ones struggling with balance, finding a full breath, general fatigue and much more. ❤️

Sometimes when you don’t have the energy to do anything else, simply taking a walk can be the best thing for your mind and body. Walking does wonders for our cardiovascular health and it helps with our gait, hip alignment, stability, balance and prevents osteoporosis!
The reformer is a piece of equipment that was developed by Joseph Pilates. It helps my clients with resistance training and challenges them work on their balance.
How to do the Pilates 1/2 roll back!

Hi my name is Kimberleigh and I am the person behind Mvment. I live in Southwestern Ontario (Canada!) and I have been teaching Pilates for 8 years and practicing it for much longer than that. The pandemic has shifted some of my plans but here I am, it’s 2021, and I am excited to start sharing!
