DSR is happy to annonuce cooperation with Globen Sports! We have started the project already in early 2023 but for now it's more committed. Globen Sport will support DSR in different activities in simracing, such as LAN events, clothing and online service etc.

Globen Sport was founded in 2003 where a group of football players wanted better conditions in the deaf sport under the Danish Deaf Breeding Association - DDI. Since then, the club has been part of its football team in the deaf sports football tournament, where for several years the team has been one of the strong dominant teams both nationally and internationally. After couple of years Globen Sports have expanded its activities in other sports, including eSports.

DSR will use black-white themed cars on occassions where Globen Sports are included as supporter, to match the colors of GS logo! We together are aiming to develop the team and gather deaf simracing enthusiastics. Looking forward what positive things the future brings! See you on virtual race tracks! 🏁

Race report of iRacing Daytona 24 - Team DSR Black - Mercedes AMG GT3 2020
🇫🇴Ian Andersen
🇫🇮Antti Terho
🇫🇮Tuomo Jussila
🇫🇮Marko Nurmela (guest driver)
🇳🇱Tuan Tran (guest driver)

We have 5 strong drivers in the team, 3 from DSR and 2 guest drivers who are friends of some of our members. Mercedes AMG GT3 2020 as our car, which was chosen by its strong straight line speed and being overall fastest car of GT3.

Tuomo took the qualifying with strong position 6 of 12 car GT3 field. After green flag drop and countdown from 24 hours to 0:00:00 started, Tuomo started driving opening stints. He managed to car safely to the pits after 2 hours of drive, passing the car to Ian. There were some lucky moments, being almost crashed out by inches.

After several hours, the race was peaceful and each car classes respected traffic. So we had no major problems bringing the car P1 to the final laps, mostly by outspeeding our rivals by strong team and pitstop strategy. Thanks to Marko (guest driver) for being able pull out 32 lap stints, while the rest of team could do 30 or 31 laps, meaning we got to shave one pitstop!
Marko also made an excellent car setup for the race! We would like to thank our another guest driver, Tuan Tran - for being able to help ease our workload in the race and showing excellent pace on his stints!

We finished the race in position 1 after 810 laps and scored 255 championship points, which is 78th overall of total 4055 teams and 18 575 (!) drivers participated in the event!

DSR will return in February 24th 2024 - 12 hours of Mt.Panorama Bathurst, Australia!

Race report of iRacing Daytona 24 - Team DSR White - BMW M3 GT3
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Bud Dobson

🇺🇸 Aharon Riolo
🇮🇪 Mark McLaughlin

Deaf Sim Racing White team won the 24 Hours of Daytona Road on iRacing! It was a great team effort by Marcus, Mark, Bud, and Aharon! Their split only has 2 classes, 26 GT3 and 24 GTP and they were driving in BMW GT3.

Before the race, they discussed and decided that they would not attempt to qualify due to the chaos at the beginning of the race. We want to finish the race in one piece and do not want to risk getting damaged very early in the race. They started in the very back of the field, 25th out of 26 cars!

They had been practicing a lot with different setups for almost 3 weeks but they found the pace with the right setup and it paid off in the race! They had no issue with handling the traffic and were gaining on everyone for whole the race. There were a couple of close calls that could end their day, including one very minor accident with a Porsche GT3 but they were lucky that it was only 50s damage.

This race involves a lot of pit strategy, we need to balance between driving fast and fuel saving. Marcus and Aharon made sure their pace was up to the speed and kept a decent lead over the field. Mark and Bud did a great job with fuel-saving which paid off in the end without wasting the time to refuel before the checkered flag!

Race report of iRacing Daytona 24 - Team DSR Green - BMW M3 GT3
🇫🇮 Anton Pulkkinen
🇩🇪 Max Lindi
🇫🇮 Matteo Kluk-Laurila
🇩🇪 Simon Bergi

In the first 13 hours we were in first place and even lapped the second car two times!!! The three deaf team (Black, White and Green Team) were P1 at the same time and for a long time!!! We were so dominant!
Until someone hit us and our car got pretty badly damaged... The repair took 4 minutes, that's how long we waited and watched as we slide down to our place after our hard work.
After the repairs we ended up in P5 and have to fight our way back.

Since we were back up to P3, someone hit us again. We fought again and got back to P3 and got hit by someone again... and slipped to P7! After slipping to P7 we fought many hours for better place and slowly we got upside until P4 and avoided incidents so much that we can reach finish line without serving again penalty! That was very exciting and we never give up!!!

We chatted a lot to focus on the race! Anton was a great crew chief. He gives the drivers some important information about the race. Like, "Save fuel so you can go one more lap!" or give them compliments like "Good Pace!!" to help them motivate and focus more on the race.

Anton was also a great, experienced driver and three drivers (Simon, Matteo and Max) were completely new to iRacing for a few weeks. This endurance race were their first experience!!!

Completing P4 is a huge achievement for us!!! We are very motivated now!! We look forward to more races in the future! We can't wait to push again!
