THE NEED FOR EFFECTIVE REPRESENTATION AND A FRESH START

Every election offers the people an opportunity to reflect on the future they desire and the quality of leadership they deserve. For the people of Aboh Mbaise State Constituency, this is one of those defining moments. It is a time to embrace the need for effective representation and a Fresh Start.

Effective representation is more than occupying a legislative seat. It is about being the voice of the people, defending their interests, influencing policies that improve lives, attracting development, and remaining accessible and accountable. It is measured by impact, not by position.

The people of Aboh Mbaise deserve representation that listens, engages, and delivers. Our youths deserve opportunities to grow and succeed. Our women deserve greater inclusion and empowerment. Our farmers, traders, artisans, and professionals deserve stronger advocacy and practical support. Every community deserves a representative who understands its needs and is committed to its progress.

Our elders say, "A na eji aka ekpe azụ nwa, jiri aka nri akpọrọ ya ụzọ." A child is nurtured with one hand and guided with the other. Leadership demands both compassion and vision. It requires listening to the people while providing clear direction for a better future.

Today marks another significant milestone in our collective journey as I officially received my Certificate of Return as the duly elected PDP Candidate for Aboh Mbaise State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly election.

I receive this certificate with profound gratitude, deep humility, and an even greater sense of responsibility. While it bears my name, it represents the confidence, trust, and collective aspiration of our great party and the good people of Aboh Mbaise who believe in the vision of a Fresh Start.

I sincerely thank the leadership of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), our leaders, stakeholders, delegates, ward executives, and every member whose steadfast support, encouragement, and confidence made this moment possible. Your unwavering belief in my candidacy is a responsibility I cherish, and I assure you that I will never take it for granted.

To our party faithful, I make this solemn commitment: I will not let you down. I will uphold the values of our great party with integrity, loyalty, and dedication. On Sunday, I had the honour of joining the congregation of St. Peter Anglican Church, Mbutu, for their Father's Day celebration, a special occasion dedicated to recognizing and appreciating the invaluable role fathers play in our families and communities.

In my remarks, I acknowledged the sacrifices, leadership, and unwavering commitment of fathers who work tirelessly to provide direction, stability, and support for their families. I described fathers as the backbone of the family, whose strength, wisdom, and guidance help shape responsible children and stronger communities. I encouraged them to continue inspiring the next generation through exemplary leadership, integrity, and service.

One of the memorable highlights of the celebration was the symbolic cutting of the Father's Day cake alongside the fathers, an occasion marked by joy, fellowship, and gratitude.

I was deeply humbled by the warm reception accorded to me and the heartfelt prayers offered by the fathers, who prayed for God's favour and success upon my aspiration to serve the people of Aboh Mbaise as their representative in the Imo State House of Assembly.

I also used the opportunity to encourage fathers and their family members to take advantage of the ongoing INEC voter registration exercise. I emphasized that the power to effect positive change begins with participation in the democratic process and ultimately at the ballot box.

I reaffirmed my commitment to working closely with religious leaders and faith based institutions to deepen conversations around community development, moral values, and the proper guidance of our young people.

Together, we can build stronger families, stronger communities, and a better future for Aboh Mbaise.

Today, I celebrate all fathers and father figures across Aboh Mbaise and beyond whose sacrifices, guidance, and unwavering love continue to shape families, communities, and society.
