NASA Pro Racing 2022 (Ryan Roberson, Spec Miata 44; Mike Dale, Spec Miata 9
Founded in 2009 as a LeMons race team, Mike, Jon, Scott and Ryan eventually evolved into a very competitive endurance racing team, winning several races and a regional championship along the way. With life pulling the team in different directions in 2012, the Skid Marks Racing ran it's last full season that year, with only a handful of races contended as a team through 2015. In December of 2015, t
he SMR #56 Neon was sold to another LeMons team in hopes of seeing the car continue to dominate in the Midwest. As the team went different directions in 2013, Ryan committed to the NASA Pro Racing Spec Miata series, with Jon contending a handful of races over the last three years in his GTSU Porsche 944. In 2015, Gary Roberson formally joined the team, campaigning a 1990 Stewart Racing Engines-powered Spec Miata in the NASA Time Trials series, grabbing two regional podiums in his first year of competition. After checking off a few key goals in 2015, Ryan and Gary will be running most, if not all, of the NASA Great Lakes season events, with hopes that Jon (and Ricki) will join them for many, if not most of the events, and Mike will find the time to run a limited season in his newly-acquired NB Miata. Scott, is busy building a career in the Cleveland area, but we are hopeful that in the next few years, he can find the time to bring his driving skills to the track, and once again, see the original lineup back on track, albeit competing individually, but representing Skid Marks Racing at the highest level.
