Travis has always stepped up to help any time we have had events or fundraisers. He is selfless with his time and dedication to the sport and his students. Let’s get him back on his feet and up in the air. Please share. https://gofund.me/60fddedd
We are reaching out with heavy hearts to share the story of Travis R., a United States Marine Corp veteran, dedicated skydiving instructor and a kind, funny friend who has faced an unthinkable and traumatic incident.
Travis, a dedicated military vet, found purpose in sharing skydiving's joy post-service. He's the 2021 Instructor of the Year at Skydive San Diego, renowned for his warmth and skill.
On August 8, 2023, tragedy struck. At a concert, Travis was brutally attacked, suffering severe injuries including fractures to cheeks and eye socket, facial lacerations, lip reconstruction, and potential vision loss in his left eye. The trauma is affecting his loved ones too. As he undergoes treatment, surgeries, and therapy, your support could significantly aid his recovery.
This GoFundMe campaign seeks to ease Travis's financial burden - covering medical expenses, therapy, and daily costs. Beyond finances, your messages can uplift his spirits during this trying time.
Your contributions, small or large, can make a meaningful difference. Funds will directly aid medical expenses and his recovery process. Sharing this campaign widens our reach, garnering the crucial support Travis needs.
Together, we can show compassion's strength. Let's help Travis rebuild physically and emotionally. Your kindness is deeply appreciated by Travis and the Skydive San Diego team.

Just a friendly reminder: Gear checks!
Keep an Eye Out | Reserve Flaps A rigger returned this gear to its owner with the reserve flaps closed in the wrong order. Closing the flaps in the wrong order can prevent the reserve parachute from deploying during both high- and low-speed malfunctions.
