Taupiri Junior Rugby Club

We have a fantastic, one-off opportunity for our junior girls players! WCJR has been invited to field three Girls Rippa Rugby teams (7-aside) to play against three visiting North Shore girls teams.

This special event is entirely separate from and in addition to Power Farming and the Kukri Cup - giving our girls a brilliant chance to experience playing against another region right on our home turf.

Here are all the key details you need to know:

Date: Sunday, 16th August 2026

Location: Taupiri Rugby Club

Eligibility: Open to all players currently in Year 7 or Year 8 at school.

Experience Level: All levels welcome! Whether they are seasoned players or completely new to Rippa Rugby and want to learn the game, we want them involved.

💰 Cost & Gear
Cost: Just the travel to Taupiri Rugby Club and a plate of kai to share for a post-match gathering.

Playing Tops: Game day playing tops will be organised and provided by WCJR.

📋 Next Steps & Training
Once registrations close, we will assemble the three teams. Team management will then coordinate a time for the players to meet up and have a training session together before August 16th so they can get to know each other and learn the rules.
