HOW MUCH PROTEIN DO YOU NEED IN YOUR DAILY EATING PLAN
Contrary to popular belief, we do not need to consume large amounts of protein. Adults require less than one gram of protein per kilogram of body weight per day. Therefore a woman who weighs 60 kg requires no more than 60 g of protein per day an amount that is easily obtained from a well-balanced diet. Bear in mind that this is not 60 g in weight, as weighing a piece of meat. It account for the total amount of protein found in all the foods that you consume in the day
A slice of bread contains 2 g of protein while the chicken mayonnaise filling contains 9 g of protein, so your chicken sandwich for lunch could provide you with 15 g of protein. That's a quarter of your total requirement for the day.
Unless you engage in at least one hour of intense physical activity or training each day of the week, you do not need additional protein in the form of high protein shakes, bars or powers

Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. When combined in different ways, they form a variety of different types of protein food sources. our body needs a continuous supply of amino acids in order to support its numerous growth, repair and maintenance processes. some of the required amino acids are produced within the body, but others have to be obtained from foods, we call these the essential amino acids. Foods with animal origins like meat, chicken, and dairy contain more amino acids in higher quantities and they are more readily available to the body then the amino acids found in plant foods such as legumes and nuts.

WHY IS WHOLE GRAINS SO IMPORTANT
Whole grains are the widely varied seeds of plants which re cultivated as food. When grains are (whole) nothing has been removed by milling and they still contain all their bran, germ and the kernel. The bran, which forms the outer layer of the seed, contains most of the seed's fibre. It is also a rich source of B vitamins, magnesium, phosphorus, iron and zinc which the body needs daily. The germ is the part from which a new plant sprouts. It is a concentrated source of B vitamins, vitamin E, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, zinc and some proteins and fats. The kernel, which makes up the bulk of the seed, contains most of the grain's starch, as well as small amounts of vitamins and minerals. Because whole grains have their bran and germ still intact, they are an excellent source of fibre and nutrients.

What is Diabetes?
The term 'diabetes mellitus' describes a group of metabolic disorders that are characterized by high blood glucose levels (too much glucose in your blood). Diabetes is caused by abnormalities in the supply and functioning of insulin, a hormone produced in the body by the pancreas. It is insulin that controls your blood glucose levels. An inadequate supply of insulin occurs when the pancreas is unable to produce adequate amounts of insulin to transport glucose out of the bloodstream and into the body cells (where it is used to provide energy. Inadequate insulin functioning occurs when there is enough insulin, but it does not function properly because the body cells are not responsive enough to the insulin that is released by the pancreas. This is termed
insulin resistance. Type 2 diabetes is usually a combination of both of these abnormalities
