Quebec-Ontario Challenge ends tomorrow at Brockville Ontario Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont – Thursday, October 13, 2022 – Martin Bélanger – The first edition of the Quebec-Ontario Challenge ends tomorrow night during the Fall Nationals at the Brockville Ontario Speedway as both the 358-Modified and Sportsman division will crown their inaugural champion!

The Restaurant Le Grinder 358-Modified portion will come down to the wire as David Hebert holds a very tight 5-point lead over Steve Bernier, both drivers has a 1 win during the series and have each collected 4 top 10 finishes in the process. Hebert comes in with a big win to start off the 2022 campaign at Brockville back in May and will likely use this to secure the championship over his long time rival. Another battle to watch will be for the final spot on the podium as Corey Wheeler has a 6-point lead over Yan Bussiere. The 358-Modified will have a 75-lap event paying $4,000 to win.

The Lussier Chevrolet/DRIVR Sportsman Series final scenario changed a lot during the Quebec portion back in September as Gabriel Cyr had one the first 2 events of the series but a 18th finishing position in Drummond put him in second spot in the points chase with 47 points behind Shane Pecore who won the third round and secured a top 5 in Drummond. Pecore comes in the favorite to win the title being a former track champion in Brockville gives him a slight edge over the competition. Behind Pecore, it is open for the other spots on the podium as Cyr only has a very slight 1-point lead over Sam Charland with Ryan Stabler and Donovan Lussier completing the top 5. A 50-lap event is on the card as the race winner will get $1,000.

The 358-Modified champion will get $2,500 for his win with second getting $1,500 and third $1,000. In the Sportsman, the champion receives $1,500, second place finisher will get $1,000 and third $500.

Défi Québec-Ontario Challenge ends this Friday night at Brockville Speedway, Modified will have a 75-lap $4,000 to win event and 50 laps for the Sportsman paying $1,000! Should be a good one as we will crown both initial champs !

Le Défi Québec-Ontario Challenge prend fin ce vendredi soir du côté de Brockville, Les Modifiés auront une finale de 75 tours payant la somme de $4,000 et ce sera 50 tours en Sportsman avec le vainqueur se méritant la somme de $1,000! Ce sera une belle soirée alors que les 2 champions seront courronnés!
