Another great undefeated win this weekend ladies! The coaches are so impressed by every single player coming through with a clutch hit at one point over the weekend. Pressure definitely brings out the best in each of you! I’d like to highlight an extra special pressure hit in the championship game and that’s Madilynn’s 2-run homer to center field to put the game out of reach. Congrats on the huge shot.

Now it’s time to build on what we’ve started and take our game to the next level. Keep putting in the time and keep working for each other. Working for each other is unique to our group and it’s what makes this journey worthwhile.

Well the girls started off frozen 🥶, but warmed up to bring home the GatorBall PGF Silver Championship. It’s a little tough to throw the ball when you can’t feel your fingers, but the heaters in the dugout and the hits in bracket play turned that around! Congrats, and thank you girls for finishing so strong. 🎉💙🖤🎉

It’s been a few tournaments since we posted a player spotlight. We have to start off by saying how strong our bats have been as an entire team. Being able to rattle off 6-7-8 runs in any inning let alone after time has expired is pretty amazing. In the spirit of Thanksgiving I’d like to give thanks for our Triple Turkeys. That’s the affectionate name I’m giving to the two hitters lighting up the ball, Eva Woolm and Bella Mahnken. Over the last two tournaments they have multiple big hits including many doubles and 6 triples which brought in a ton of RBI’s. Keep lighting it up girls! Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and gives thanks to the important things in our lives. CF Future is giving thanks to the Triple Turkeys 🦃. Go Eva and Bella.

💙🖤 FUTURE SPOTLIGHT 💙🖤

Softball fields have a fence for the same reason all sports have boundaries…. You’re supposed to play within the limits of the game. We played our second tourney of the season and had a player decide to break those limits while testing hers. Addison Bell hit the first home run of her career! Her day started on the fields at 7am and she had to fight through being weak and lightheaded midway through the day during the 2:30pm game. Never one to back down or quit, she battled back to play in the final game of the night that started late at 7:45pm. She sent the first pitch of her first AB about 10’ over the LC fence and her grin was about as wide as the distance the ball had travelled. If you’ve hit one, there’s nothing like the feeling of your first. So now the challenge has been set…. let the flood gates open….. who’s next?!?!

CF Future played their first tourney of the 2021 Fall season and the coaches couldn’t be more proud of how the team played as a “team” so early in the season. We all know in a highly competitive atmosphere that momentum can be the difference maker. Chloe Incinelli is a player who has always given 100%, but is usually reserved and quiet. Over the weekend, CF Future battled back to tie a game at 3-3. With 2 on and 2 out and a 2nd strike coming from a check swing that had her face dripping with disappointment, Chloe proceeded to smack the 2-2 pitch deep over the Right Fielder’s head. Rounding 2nd and stretching every ounce of speed she has to push to 3rd she slides in safe. Two RBI Triple! She bounces up and leads me to believe she’s a WWE star about to jump off the top ropes and take me out. Pure adrenaline flowing through her veins and yelling at the top of her lungs….and that’s why coaches do what they do….Love to see the energy and desire to excel!

After a competitive, long spring season that was completed this week at PGF Nationals in California. CF FUTURE will be holding tryouts in the coming weeks. 💙🖤That’s a wrap on PGF Nationals and a very long spring season! The competition was fierce, which we knew it would be. Thank you to the coaches, parents, and players for making this opportunity possible. The girls fought and earned their way to sunny CA, and what a ride it has been! The smiles and memories made this week will be with them forever. 💙🖤
