Our 14s group ended the 23/24 session with a friendly match v Barra this afternoon . A good performance individually and collectively in a game which was evenly contested.

Southend’s match v Benbecula this evening has been rescheduled to Tuesday 9th July due to a bereavement. The Club sends its condolences to the family and all those connected.

Regrettably, Southend are unable to raise a team to fulfil their fixture against Barra today. A 3-0 nil win is awarded to our opponents.

A very busy day for the club today with over 40 players in action.

At Daliburgh, we welcomed teams from across Uist & Barra for a primary football festival. Thanks to all on and off the pitch for helping to deliver a successful, fun day for the kids.
Thank you to Storas Uibhist for their financial support towards purchasing fruit for the event.

A group of our U14s combined with Harris to participate in a cup game versus Back FC. Whilst providing valuable 11-a-side experience, ultimately they lost out to a (match) fit and well organised Back team.

A depleted senior team put up a strong fight but Harris ran out comfortable winners and progress to the next round.

We wish both teams luck in the next round.

Big thanks to all involved with Harris for making us feel so welcome and allowing our youngsters to experience some competitive football 🤝

Our younger groups enjoyed attending two festivals, one in Barra last weekend and Liniclate yesterday, 18th May. Next up we will host our own primary festival at Daliburgh on 8th June.

10th/11th May = free weekend.

Our Club Captain, along with members of Eriskay FC were next in the defibrillator training tour of the Western Isles! A massive thank you to Sarah, Denise and Mags from Lucky2BeHere who carried out the training. Also a thank you to Donnie Maclean for facilitating along with some of the Lochboisdale Fire Service crew.

This is invaluable training and having players gain confidence in basic life saving practices, particularly given our rural area, is vital.
