Today we joined in their campaign to reduce plastic waste by saying NO to plastic straws. They are along the top 10 pollutant in the world, especially in oceans and waterways. .
By simply saying NO to straws (ask service staff to bring you drinks WITHOUT straws) and bringing your own reusable straw out of glass or stainless steel can go a long way in helping the world kick its plastic habit.
Special shout out to
crew (staff and volunteers) for collecting more than 2400 plastic straw from members of the public in the Car Free Day area in the span of 2 hours and substituting them with reusable or paper straws whilst educating the public of the need to say NO to plastic straws. Sedotan Plastik? Nggak Asik!
Our hit some climbing and distance milestones this week at the - a 120km endurance ride with a total of 1800m of elevation gain in beautiful Centrak Java.
"I may not be the fastest or the strongest--but knowing that I did my best to stay on my saddle, climbing over 1500m, is such an empowering feeling. The scenic view was certainly worth all the sweat and pain."

Finished strong! .
The long course was 143km of challenging climbs, daring descents, horrid heat and headwind but also gave us some breathtaking scenery sprinkled with sisterhood moments that reminds us of the beauty of cycling. .
This is why we love this sport so much! Thank you you have been amazing!
Thank you coach for whipping us into shape this past 9 weeks. We went into the event (and tackled each climb and descent) calmly and confidently. Training with purpose certainly helped with race readiness and just overall allowed to enjoy the ride to the fullest.
What do they say? Life is a climb but the view is great... certainly on the right course and with the ride company!
Here is a from yesterday's ride to Kaliurang. Just getting those legs warmed up on the little treacherous spikes in elevation on the way to the peak.
The pleasure of a scenic ride with a few climbs thrown in, perfectly captured in this shot! .

I’m officially in ❤️ with Central Java.
BTN Tour de Borobudur was indeed a showcase of the province’s natural beauty. Promised to serve different route every year with its own challenge.
This year (my 2nd participation) was double as spicy as last year!! Massive climb, technical downhill and endless false flats.. all adorned with great camaraderie, ample fueling at pitstops, friendly bike and motor marshals, and not to mention beautiful scenery.
Kudos to the organizer for superb improvement (vs 2016); I would say this touring is a strong contender to the famous Bromo100km event!
Thank you for having me. Until next year. Until next climb! (More comprehensive tour revie coming soon)

We can't quite get over Jakarta-Bandung ride! It was epic for many reasons, but most importantly it was a tremendous challenge that gave rise to a crop of strong women. We feel privileged to be able to ride alongside them and conquer this ride together. Chapeau, ladies!

Jens Voigt is one of pro cycling's most recognizable figures. Nevermind his daring breakaways, epic comebacks (breaking The Hour) and legendary motto (Shut Up Legs)... read on here why The Jensie continues to be such a beloved personality in pro cycling despite having retired years ago (and why we should all be freaking out of the fact that he is coming to Indonesia this month!).
Shut up, retirement: What pros like Jens Voigt do when the racing ends Jens Voigt may be retired from pro racing, but he’s busier than ever. How to Climb up a Really, Really Steep Hill This year's Red Bull Bay Climb winner Hannah Muegge shares her secrets to conquering the toughest climbsWe’ve all been there: You look up at a road that appears as a wall in front of your bike and have to “paper boy” from side to side to reduce the gradient. A cycle superhighway for Jakarta, perhaps? Surely a girl is allowed to dream!
Either way, I am sure there are many Jakarta cyclists and runners out there that fondly recalls how blissful it had been to have been able to ride or run on the brandnew busway stretching from Pancoran to Ciledug before it became operational. That is how riding on a cycle superhighway must feel like...

Cycling is a women's sport, as much as it is a men's. More than ever, women in Indonesia and around the world are taking to the wheels to claim their half of the road... To ride side by side and celebrate everything we love about cycling, together.
"I dream of conquering distances and climbs in faraway places. I want to be stronger and fitter to ride further and faster. This team provides me with the necessary motivation and support in my quest to become a better cyclist."
"Being on the bike, on the road, in motion, is simply quite liberating. That is why I always come back to cycling. And this time I want to take it up a notch."
Cyclists have a love and hate relationship with this city. On one hand, it is amazing to be able to experience the caleidoscope of buildings and colours of this bustling megacity on two wheels. But it is a challenging place to ride in - heat and humidity, some of the worst roads riddled with potholes and aggresive road users just to name a few. Nevertheless, it is home and any city ride tends to leave you feeling empowered. .

At the Korlantas Tour De Jakarta, a 100km ride around the city. The roads had to be heavily policed to ensured a safe and enjoyable ride for thousands of road cyclists taking part today. It was nice to see a big turnout of cyclists. There is indeed a big desire for common citizens like you and me to claim our humble share of public space. .
