Dopamine is a chemical released in the brain that makes you feel good and is just one of the four feel good hormones. Having the right amount of dopamine is important for both your body and your brain. Smelling or eating a food that is rewarding or pleasurable, achieving goals, receiving praise, social interactions such as being with friends or loved ones, physical activity, particularly aerobic exercise, listening to music are just a few ways to release dopamine Dopamine can provide an intense feeling of reward.

Do you see and really observe? So many of us lead such busy lives and are consumed with unhelpful thoughts and feelings that we forget to look around and notice the joy and beauty in our lives. How often do you stop, take a breath, give yourself some space and notice all that is good in your life? Just by being made aware of this can deliver a huge positive step forward in your life.
As we move into 2024 take time to be present, be mindful, notice the seasons change, focus on things you like to do and while you do them be very present so that you can fully enjoy each experience.

Did you know that curiosity is a brilliant way to break out of negativity?
When we become curious we no longer feel overwhelmed, nor do we judge ourselves. Curiosity opens new perspectives which then leads us to solutions.
First ask yourself what is the emotion that has triggered the negative thought process. The more you ask questions about why you are feeling this way, the more distance you allow yourself from the issue. The more distance you have from the emotion, the more space you have to make choices and look at situations from a new perspective.
Embracing curiosity helps in seeking understanding, learning and finding new paths forward.
