Gowanbank 5 v 11 maryhill Milan

What a weekend. It’s starts before a baws kicked Milano boys have there night out book on Saturday and there’s a matter of a cup final on Sunday so wee ask both the opponents and league can wee reshuffle the fixture and our request was denied. So game is booked at toryglen at 4pm just out side hampden during the league cup final. Anyway wee turn up with just enough bodies n some not even had a kip and take the victory to be undefeated in any competition for the full year

Not up to our usual standards today and turn up with only 12 players but we’re into the next round.
Up 3-0 at ht n thought wee should have had a couple more
2nd half we start ok n get a goal to go 4-0 up then our standard fell again. Loosing 2 goals with one of them being an absolute worldy

Hardest test of the season by far. Fair play to our opponents who played an excellent game. Cmilk 7-5 up with minutes to go but that never die attitude was the result of the points shared! 👊🏻

Maryhill Milan 4v1 pollockshields
1st half wee play a lot of shexy football but only manage to put 1 were it counts with a lovely turn n hit effort from pd. chances came n went with Paul pd Connor n Marc all passing up the chance to increase the lead. Marc’s would have been team goal of the decade but come of the right side of the post but goes the wrong way along the line.
2nd half 1-0 n a man sent off ( won’t go into that shocking reffereeing by the way ). The lads just kept going n had to work harder than usual for each other and that they did. 2-0 wee flick from Connor picks out Marc’s run ( n run Marc run ) n slots it home. 3-0 pds in the box turning guys inside out n back again n it’s obviously anoying so gets a wee volly for his cheek n wee get a pen n slotted home by Connor. Pollockshields pull one back with a nice ball in n tbh lovely header 3-1. 4-1 comes from a corner n Dylan rises above everyone else n sticks his napper on the ball and it just goes over the line despite the efforts of there goal ( who had a fantastic game )

The derby wasn’t one for the fans but results matter. Blackstar go 2-0 up due to a couple of mistakes on our part tbh could have wrapped the 2 up n hand them out for Xmas presents. Wee pull one back with a pen as MB must have felt sh*te as they hadn’t got us a prezzie.

2nd half. What a fight by the lads with there never give up attitude pd still scoring headers n Connor getting of the mark for the season also alboy tavernier making Paul’s shot look like a world cup cross before Paul grabbing the final goal.

1st half wee start slow but eventually come into it with a nice move finished by a pd header. After that coltness get a few chances n big Pat the cat makes 3 or 4 superb saves but 2 Other efforts went in 2-1 down ht
2nd half 3-1 down but not out yet the lads never give it up. The lads were class the 2nd half 3-1 3-2 3-3 3-4 3-5 with Pat pulling off another couple of class saves. Added on time coltness pull 1 back 4-5 nervous couple of minutes coming up. not for Dylan boom 4-6 next round thank you

A 1st half to forget tbh hit the woodwork 3 times n 3 off the line. Went in 0-0 at the break.
2nd the lads came out n grabbed 3 goals in the space of 15 minutes and thought more to come but nope TB played really well n pull 2 back but wee hang on to get the win n keep our 100% record going in all competitions

Great game today from the lads. Wee lost an early goal but the lads didn’t let there heads go down an fired back to lead 2-1 with goals from Marc n paul. Irvine played a good game n get there goal before ht to make it 2-2 at the break.
Lads come out after the break n loose another early 1 3-2 but same as the 1st half heads are still up and wee get the goals we needed 2 from pd n a lovely volley from kiddy to seal the deal. The lads were good today from the starting 11 to the subs that came on 👌

Back to league duty today for the lads.
1st half wee came out the traps quick n with 2 superb goals 1 from Paul n another from Marty set us up at ht 2-0. Tbh unlucky not to go in with one or two more.
2nd half wee seal the win with a 3rd and Paul’s 2nd a wee spinny nutmeg n a lovely side footer into the bottom bin. Boys kind of took the foot of the gas but got the win and the clean sheet.

After a 4-2 lose during preseason against Armadale the boys were wanting to make up for it today.
1st half was an even game with some good football from both teams ending the half at 2-2
2nd half few subs due to injuries the lads came out n continued to play good football right till the final whistle to win the match comfortably in the end

Friendly result
Glasgow Perthshire 5v1 maryhill Milan

The lads put in a great effort vs jnr side Perthshire. Down 1-0 at halftime after playing good football n creating chances. 2nd half we get the goal to take it to 1-1 n still doing well. Last 20 minutes let us down with lack of fresh legs to bring on n the shire scored another few goals. We had 2 subs and had to use 1 half way throu the 1st half after our cb got injured.
The lads should be proud of there football n efforts tonight.
