A throwback to May 2003 w/ Conor, just after he won the the first time 💚! His sister Sinead bleached his hair before the marathon.
Since the race was televised, we used a handheld TV to follow Conor around the course and hand off drinks at certain aid stations.
After the race, because of his bleached hair, he was a local celebrity and easily recognized at the grocery store and running around town in Norman.
He got his US citizenship the year before. Then in June 2003 at he qualified for the 2004 Olympic Marathon Trials 🎉🇺🇸! I would drive down from Tulsa on the weekends to drive with him on his long runs and hand off bottles.
He went on to run 2:18 at the 2004 Trials to finish in 18th place in Birmingham, on a very cold and windy day w/ snow flurries!
Pictured here 📷- he’s 31 and I’m 21. We’re so young- time flies! I’m so grateful to have a sidekick through so much of life 👩🏼🤝👨🏻.

5 yrs ago I started working more regularly with my longtime dietitian , got bloodwork, & tracked a few days of my diet on 📊.
She started me on the Root Cause Protocol, which essentially rebalances your biochemistry to ultimately reduce stress ⚖️. It focuses on getting nutrients from mostly whole foods with some quirky supplements. Some of the things she had me change:
✳️ Stopped my longtime iron supplement, Vit D, super B complex, mineral complex, and multivitamin.
✳️ Started taking ‘s adrenal cocktail, mineral drops in my beverages, , for my sports drink, a variety of magnesium, cod liver oil, taurine, and a multivitamin that doesn’t have iron.
✳️ Add in bee pollen, camu powder, and a variety of nuts/seeds/prunes/berries- such as raw pumpkin seeds, brazil nuts, chia seeds, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, and mixed nuts.
✳️ I added back dairy and whole milk, which I hadn’t had in yrs because I thought I was lactose intolerance! Adding back dairy and whole milk relit my inferno 💥🥛. I also eat a variety of meat, eggs, liver, oysters, shrimp, salmon, and sardines.
I know the endurance world pushes iron supplements.
Jackie has a different approach to rebalancing body biochemistry ⚖️, and it was such a game changer when I started it back in 2021 👊. My body has physically felt better now than it did 5-10 yrs ago 💥💃!
A throwback to my 800km World Record (497 mi) in 4 days 21:44:55 🦸♀️🙌! I went another lap+ to reach 500 miles, becoming the first woman to reach 500 miles in < 5 days 🚀🌖!
Things got very very wild the last 2-3 days. I had been pushing through a UTI, and the doctors put me on an antibiotic to prevent kidney issues. I also started my period on Day 2. Besides having my period, I also did 4 blood draws for the research study 🩸💉!
The toughest part though was the uncontrollable spasms with my bowels for 2-3 days, which led to some mindblowing stories I haven’t shared yet!
I still believe I can break the men’s World Records- whether for 6 days or going much further 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️! The team inspires me to go 1000 miles and beyond.
I recently got to recognize 800km and other non-standard times/distances as Official Records by their organization 🎉! I have immense gratitude to all the Officials who marked/measured and made these records possible, ! Thank you a million everyone and esp my crew and medical who kept me safe and moving 💕🙏.
Part 2 of what shoes I’m currently training in!
✳️ Nike Vaporfly for speed/strides/drills
✳️ Salomon Ultra Flow for softer and more technical trails
✳️ Many more shoes/“tools” in the closet 👷♀️👟!
I set the first World Record in a pair of carbon plated shoes in Nov 2017 in the original Vaporfly’s, when I set the 100 mi WR of 12:42:40 at Tunnel Hill 💥👟.
Thereafter, Nike brought me up many times over the next yrs to share my thoughts. I was using scissors to modify the uppers ✂️. The shoes improved, and the current version is as good as ever!
I almost became a Salomon athlete in 2016! I really like both their road and trail shoes. I wore one of their road shoes to win the 2016 UROC 100km. I’ve tried several of their recent shoes and heard I should try their gravel shoes.
I have a account with my favorite shoes, gear, and more! I’ll have to share and talk to y’all about more of my favorite stuff 🙌😄. I’m open to partnerships as well, along with leadership roles. I’ve been fortunate to work with so many brands, innovations, and project launches over the yrs. It’s cool how tech and innovation continues to improve and elevate us, especially women 🦸♀️🚀🌖!

I got a request to talk about my current training shoes, which are mostly Nike, Salomon, and some others in my closet.
This is Part 1- my daily trainer, the Nike Pegasus Plus 👍👍.
I stick with what works and keeps me feeling good. I’ve grown back my toenails since switching back to Nikes 😄🫶👟!
