WEEK ONE - A SURVIVAL GUIDE
Our first comp of the season is this Saturday 5 September at 8am.
The first few weeks of our competition are a little busy, so here are a few reminders to help you feel more prepared...
🚗 Little athletics doesn't offer 'drop and go'. An adult (parent or carer) must remain with their child for the duration of the event. If you have more than one child, and you are on your own, stay with the child that needs your attention, we just need to know that you’re available if required.
💪 Many hands make light work, our comps don’t run themselves and parent help is essential. You don’t need qualifications to help. We will show you the ropes. If you’re unsure, look for one of our terrific committee members in the green shirts. They’ll be at each of the events to guide you and your little athletes through their first comp.
We also need help to set up our fields each week. Please head down to the track from 7am to give our grounds crew a hand to put out our equipment.
💛💚 If you missed sign on to purchase a uniform, you can come to the canteen during comp to finalise payments and uniforms.
⏰ We start at 8:00am with announcements and warm up. Head to the canteen on arrival so you don't miss important info.
👕 If there is no registration number on your athlete's shirt yet, please write your athlete's rego number on the back of their hand for recording purposes.
👟👟 All athletes require appropriate shoes and a drink bottle. Hats and sunscreen is recommended. Sunscreen is provided at the clubhouse.
🐶❌ No pets are permitted on the grounds. The PCYC is a dog free zone. Please leave your furbabies at home.
😇 Please be patient! We have many children who are trying athletics for the first time, so things will run a little slower than normal. It will get quicker once everyone gets into the groove and gets to know the events and our routine.
😁😁 Lastly, have fun! Our focus is on 'being your best', so just aim for those PBs!
Let’s get it
