DeMarcus Cousins Traded!!

The New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to acquire DeMarcus Cousins from the Sacramento Kings.

The Kings will acquire Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway, the Pelicans' 2017 first round pick and the Philadelphia 76ers' 2017 second round pick in exchange for Cousins.

Cousins will team up with Anthony Davis to form one of the NBA's best frontcourt duos in recent memory.

The Kings and Cousins were widely expected to agree upon a supermax extension this offseason before a new round of Cousins' trade talks surfaced on Sunday.

Gorgan Dragic of the Miami Heat is apparently on the trade table and the Orlando Magic are one of multiple teams who have expressed interest in trading with the Miami Heat for Goran Dragic.

Miami gave up two future first rounders to the Phoenix Suns for Dragic in 2015 and will holdout for a sizable trade package in return for him.

Dragic has a player option after the 18-19 season but is signed on a reasonable salary considering the increase of the cap.

Dragic is averaging 19.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 6.5 assists in 34.3 minutes per game this season.

Kyle Korver made his debut for the Cleveland Cavaliers against the Utah Jazz today.

On paper Korver looks to be a deadly addition to the Cavs however only time will tell if he will be a good fit.

This game also showed Gordon Hayward's skill and efficiency with the ball scoring 28 PTS and grabbing 9 REB (FG % = 83.3 % 10/12) further positioning Utah closer to the playoffs (currently 6th in the West).

The Brooklyn Nets are seeking two first round picks in exchange for Brook Lopez. It seems as though that is asking a lot for an established player but injury prone and never really a superstar however in the right team this man could be straight up mean.

Lopez is signed through the 17-18 season on a three-year, $60 million deal he agreed upon with the Nets in 2015.

After struggling with injuries earlier in his career, Lopez has played in 72 and 73 games in 14-15 and 15-16, while remaining healthy this season.

Lopez has also added a three-pointer to his offensive repertoire, hitting 36.1 percent of his 5.2 attempts per game.

The Warriors went on to lose against the Grizzlies after having a 24 point lead!

This game highlighted Golden State's lack of defence in the paint. The Grizzlies bullied the Warriors under the rim in both the 4th and OT to take the W.

The Warriors better hope they don't face these issues in the playoffs.

In some of the more important trade rumours Andrew Bogut has stated he doesn't expect to remain with the Mavs long term after recently embracing a role coming off the bench

"Thankfully I'm a free agent here so I only have a couple of months more here and then will most likely move on," Bogut said. "I don't see myself hanging around with everything that's gone on. It will be an interesting six months ahead."

When asked if he expects to be moved prior to the February 23 trade deadline, he acknowledged that he was "a valuable commodity" but "you never know."

Dallas acquired the expiring contract of Bogut from the Golden State Warriors in the 2016 offseason.

Will Rudy Gay be moved before the trade deadline? With the Thunder, Pacers and Rockets circling it could very well happen but are the Kings even willing to part with a player who has openly suggested he isn't interested in re-signing with the Sacramento Kings.

"The one player who is going to have to move between now and the trade deadline is Rudy Gay," said Wojnarowski. "I don't think the Kings can make the same mistake New Orleans made last year with Ryan Anderson. Ryan Anderson was pretty clear he was not going to re-sign there and they lost him for nothing. Especially for a team so devoid of assets, they couldn't let him walk for nothing.

"Oklahoma City got down to the wire before Cameron Payne's injury (trading for Gay).

"There's no question Oklahoma City. Indiana has had interest in him. Houston has had some peripheral interest. I don't think they have the pieces to trade."
