🤫 We have a secret.

If you’ve been connected with us for even just a short amount of time, you know we are HUGE proponents of scalable revenue sources.

Group programs, courses, events…all those ways to take your time and effort and multiply it by MANY buyers, instead of one-to-one trading time for money.

But here’s our dirty little secret.

We still take on one-to-one consulting clients who want us to design their curriculum from their books/podcast, develop their e-learning portals, and help them to revamp their messaging, positioning and marketing to enroll more clients in their programs.

*gasp*

If we’ve cracked the code on scalable revenue, then WHY would we still take on one-on-one clients?

Well, let us tell you.

#1 - Our one-on-one strategic consulting and DFY services are priced fairly for established businesses who are generating multiple 6 figures and beyond.

Some organizations have more financial resources than time resources and rather than done-with-you solution, they are seeking an agency that will execute on their behalf. We are experts at instructional design and enrollment strategy. So 1-1 is a better solution for some clients.

#2 - We want to keep our skills sharp and stay on the cutting edge of what works and what doesn’t. Not a lot of coaches and course creators can say that. They forsake the application of their skill set once they figure out how to deliver to many.

We are perpetual learners, so doing great work in partnership with new industries or business models is a win-win-win for us AND our clients.

#3 - Because the bulk of our revenue is not reliant on one-on-one services, we get to be extremely selective. We only take on clients we’re excited to work wit, and only as it fits into our work and life schedule.

As you assess your offer suite in 2025–try not to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Developing new, scalable revenue streams doesn’t mean you have to scrap your one-on-one services.

Instead, take what’s working and repeated in your 1-1 services, systematize it for a group, and then price/position your one-on-one services accordingly.

I'm not cool, and I'm not famous. But I've figured out what a lot of cool and famous people have not.

How to build a business around your life.

Now that I've figured it out, I won't ever do it another way...and I won't ever stop helping other people figure out for themselves too.

It's about MORE than just having your own business...its about having an intentionally crafted and agile offer suite supported by efficient systems.

There are no hacks. There is no one size fits all.

And there is no reason to work yourself into the ground and feel like you have to sacrifice the things most important to you just to scrape by.

Ah… Back to school, that time of year.

Once a teacher, always a teacher, I guess- because this time of the year feels so happy to me.

During the first week, among the getting-to-know- you activities, I used to ask my students what they wanted to do for a career.

Reliably, most of my freshman said they wanted to be a movie star, pop star, or professional athlete.

Including the ones who were 4’11 inches, 90 pounds, not yet quite grown into their Jordans-clad feet.

How many of my former students went on to be movie stars?

Zero.

Pop stars?

Zero.

Professional athletes?

Exactly one.

Out of thousands.

And that one played for a very short time and now has a job he loves in tech.

If becoming a movie star or pop star or professional athlete were an easy path— with all the fame and fortune, and the love of the game— THE DREAM!— everyone would do it.

How many times have you fallen in the trap of wanting the success you dream of to be easier?

I know I have.

And like me, I’m sure you’ve told yourself more than a few times: “anything worth doing takes time.”

That’s certainly been true in my experience.

Our culture places “overnight success” on the highest of pedestals, but we alwasy come to find out that overnight really means years of anonymously “putting in their reps.”

I find those stories WILDLY encouraging because it normalizes THE JOURNEY.

You know what else I can bet of every great mind or athlete or success story you admire?

They have coaches and mentors who provide ongoing constructive feedback to help them get better at their craft.

MYTH #1 THAT KEEPS YOU SMALL 👇

But first a story...

When I first became a mom, I didn’t know I could love anyone as much as I loved my new baby.

Five months later, I was SHOCKED to find out that I was pregnant again and admittedly, I started to freak out—

First,

HOW ON EARTH WILL I BE ABLE TO LOVE ANOTHER CHILD AS MUCH AS I LOVE THIS ONE I ALREADY HAVE?

and then—

HOW COULD I POSSIBLY TAKE CARE OF THIS SECOND CHILD WHEN I’M BARELY JUST GETTING THE HANG OF BEING A PARENT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Will taking care of one be at the expense of the other?

It’s hard to imagine how you can grow and expand beyond what you’ve already assumed was your edge.

This is obviously an experience that is not at all unique to parents, but shows up at some point for those trying something new beyond what they’ve felt was possible for them— Just because we’ve not yet experienced it, doesn’t mean we can’t grow into it.

Athletes.

Pioneers in their field.

First time authors.

This is especially true for people who start their own businesses.

MYTH #1 THAT KEEPS YOU SMALL:

“I cannot create a new stream of revenue in my business because it will ultimately be at the expense of my current clients.”

We’ve heard this so many times from colleagues who cannot fathom adding a group learning experience to their offer suite, because they believe that in doing so, it will take time away from delivering for their clients.

OR, they will have to turn clients (aka: MONEY) away to have the time to make something new happen.

The unfortunate result?

Staying on the hamster wheel.

Working harder and longer.

Barreling toward burnout.

Working 1:1 is fabulous.

Our culture is facing a massive reciprocity deficit-- especially in business.

It makes sense, when so many of us for so long have been part of an extractive system-- one that takes and doesn’t give back.

One that uses and uses until there’s nothing left.

It can leave even the most high-minded of us fearful and cautious about forging relationships.

Maybe that conditioning has even had you wondering if what it takes to be REALLY “successful” in business-- a shrewdness and hyper-individualistic, mentality.

We’ve all probably at one time or another, have felt taken advantage of when it comes to business--

That someone didn’t pay properly for the service they received.

That you showed up generously and someone else got the credit.

That you were passed over for an opportunity.

That you were excluded from a group of people who thought they were “fancier” business owners than you.

AND YET...
Because we know how that feels, we can vow to NOT do business in that way.

That’s what the Prosper Network’s mission is-- to provide opportunity and connection for women around the world, to do business BETTER, with integrity, and most of all with RECIPROCITY.
