TONE is committed to creating an environment that suits individual client needs. Customizing each workout specifically to bring the client to his or her goal. TONE pilates studio is equipped with a state-of-the-art Reformer, Cadillac and the MVe Chair all from Peak Pilates. I have been a trainer in pilates for over 14 years in studios in Boston, Wellesley and Stow. My dream, however, has always been to have my own studio where I could create just the right environment for my clients. In 2008, I was able to accomplish this and absoultely love the path I chose. I offer individual training sessions on the reformer, cadillac and MVe Chair. I offer Pilates Boot Camp to both individuals and groups. Throughout the year, I offer TONE Kids Club for ages 4-7. For the past 6 years, I have been teaching Prechool Pilates in local schools and have been training athletic teams in Core Conditioning.

[04/03/20]   A little reminder of where my CORE muscles are this morning...😁💪. This exercise can also be done without the tower...
Try holding a weight in your hands...arms straight and slightly in front of your shoulders (shoulders down). Keep the range of motion small with all of your movements...and build progression, increasing your range of motion, over time....slow and steady...😊

There is a beautiful and deliberate ORDER to Pilates work. It is ALL about OPPOSITION... In both the position of the muscles and the execution of the work....and while stretching too.

On the reformer, we have beautiful resistance from the springs that help us lengthen, strengthen and stretch more deeply in our work. Therefore, you should never feel sore after doing Pilates, but rather, 'feel' your muscles in a way that you have NEVER felt them before. We are not only working the large muscle groups, but the small muscle groups as well, making reformer work SO well-rounded and incredibly CONCENTRATED!!

Here we are doing some dynamic hip work on the reformer, followed by a beautiful piriformis stretch with resistance from the springs, allowing for a deeper stretch.... FEELS SO GOOD! Most of my clients would like to stay in this stretch for the rest of the session.😁😂❤️

Our Story

TONE pilates studio is committed to creating a program that meets the individual needs of each client. Every BODY is different and it is Cortney's objective to customize each program specifically to bring the client to his or her goal.

Cortney has been a pilates trainer for over 15 years in studios in Boston, Wellesley, Wayland, and Stow and also specializes in rehabilitation and injury prevention. She is affiliated with the Dance Medical Journal Club; a group of physical therapists, medical doctors, and other injury-preventative professionals who work with Boston Ballet dancers, collaborating in an effort to reduce and prevent injury.

TONE pilates studio offers individual training sessions on the reformer, cadillac and MVe Chair. Cortney also offers reformer training at Joint Ventures Physical Therapy in Wayland *www.jointventuresPT.com.
