So, every afternoon epic battles would take place on the green "battlefield" Actually , it was this insatiable desire for the game that gave birth to Athinaikos. Starting as a group of friends having a passion in common, it turned into a prestigious and powerful Club. Nevertheless, all good things come to an end and, unfortunately, our team was no exception to the rule .Family obligations and hardships, led to our roads being separated. Some changed neighborhood, others even went abroad, leaving only very few in the birthplace of our team. The flame, though, was still burning in our hearts and now that the time has come we have reunited. Accompanied by a new breed of players whose primary concern is to diffuse the game and pass it on to the next generations, we trust that we will manage to become an integral part of the global Subbuteo community. Last but not least , the name of our team originally derives from the ancient Greek goddess Athena, the goddess of wisdom, so, as our name suggest we are determined to be wise , work hard, be a team and make our own contribution to the game we all love.
