Mundial FC is an organization committed to playing competitive college-level soccer with established players of different backgrounds and playing styles.
The team is Cornell's four-time-repeating representative at the Region 1 tournament, the 2013 Ivy League Champion, the 2013 Conference tournament champion, and ranked as high as 2nd in Region 1 in the Fall of 2012 and 2013, respectively. After a great fall season, including advancing all the way to nationals, the team is looking to a great spring season, and a great Ivy League tournament. Mundy finished as champions of the Finger Lakes league this year…again. Winning 8/9 matches within the regular season. This set us up brilliantly for regionals as we entered the tournament with the 6th seed. We took our group with seven points, just seconds away from a perfect record. With the two seed in the playoffs, we faced a tough Georgetown team and fell in a hard fought match on penalties. We then traveled to Kansas City for nationals and added some intense, high quality matches to our long list of games played this season. We are excited to build on these successes as we head towards a fixture-packed spring.
