I don’t think people know what is attached to their discipline and greatness. A happy mind and body is so important. I’m not saying we are not going to struggle, but let’s work on what we can control. Think about it. Unmotivated and major imposter syndrome taking over and throwing us all off. The more you can control the better you will feel.

It’s the little things ⬇️
Saying no to that drink and getting proper sleep.
Binging on food before a walk or prayer
Not feeling ready but showing up anyways (Faith over Fear)
Getting enough sunlight
Setting boundaries on negative environments
Eating the right foods

As someone who lives with an invisible disease. I can tell you that when my health and mind is attacked. I don’t show up as the best me or I show up scared. Remember when battling your mind and health. Stop and think how important a healthy mind and body are to show up as the best you.

Not only do I pray for discipline with my health and fitness I also pray to show up the best I can for those I’m coaching and motivating others too. So the next time you think about not showing up and letting the little things win. I hope you choose to show up ready and prayed up ❤️

🎉 I wish more people knew fitness is so much more than trying to obtain a certain look. Fitness is functional! Change your mindset and change your life. You want to be able to keep up with everyone on vacation, go on hikes, carry your groceries up and down the stairs. Not be winded walking up hills!

Bodybuilding is not calling me right now and that is ok. I love what it has taught me and the discipline and even growth it has brought me. I even have a client training for a show. For me right now though it does not call me. Maybe it will at some point, but I feel no drive to compete in any shows anytime soon. I’ve been enjoying my life balance and enjoying teaching others to find their life balance and that fitness is not a one stop destination, but a journey that is on going. Learning to train and eat for a lifestyle and not putting so much pressure on the scale. Finding your balance does take time and grace. I would love to help you find your life balance. Whatever that means for you ❤️

🔋 I recently did a little bit of a reset and still working on this and prioritizing and organizing my day and schedule. Why is this important for fitness and overall wellbeing?

When working with clients and my own life I like to help talk about a schedule, stress and sleep schedules. If nothing is planned and you’re all over the place you don’t show up in your best mindset. For me my reset started with reorganization my closest and my room space. This helps me start and end my day better. I feel more organized and prepared for the day and more relaxed preparing for bed. From there I’m evaluating my daily schedule. What is stressing me out? Am I using all my time wisely? Am I fitting in relax and down time.

We were not meant to live in total chaos. I get it work schedules and kids schedules can have you running, but it’s important to be present and find the gaps to slow down and feel in control. My nights are usually giving rides and preparing dinner. Fitting in a walk and some time to play and be present for the kids is important to me even after a long day. So you’re in control of how you show up. Yes circumstances that we cant control will happen, but the majority of the time we are in control.

You’re in control of your schedule. What you say yes to. How late you stay up. What you at that day. Who you allow in your life. The boundaries you keep. So you see taking control of your day and habits is so important on how you show up in life and in fitness.
