Congrats, Finnegan! šŸ† Second place at the OCB Battle for the Belt Teen Physique Championship! However, this isn’t really about the trophy. It’s about 12 months of trainings, disciplined meals, missed shortcuts, and showing up when nobody was watching. Watching my son commit to a goal and see it through, start to finish, has genuinely inspired me as his father. That kind of work ethic at 17 will carry him through everything life throws at him. So proud of the man you’re becoming, Finnman. This is just the beginning. Keep building, keep grinding and the podium was just proof of what you already knew. Onward and upward! šŸ’ŖšŸ‘ Finn White

1000 days without alcohol. That’s the milestone I crossed today.

Why?

1000 days ago, I had just watched my rockstar wife, Jilian White, MD, crush the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. She went from weekend warrior to world-ranked triathlete in just a few short years.

How?

When faced with a decision, she would ask, ā€œDoes this make me a faster triathlete?ā€ The compound effect of these decisions was an unprecedented climb up the world rankings.

Inspired by her example, I started asking myself, ā€œDoes X make me a better husband, dad, or leader?ā€

When it came to alcohol, it was hard for me to argue that I was better at anything after drinking. And so, I decided to give up drinking alcohol 1000 days ago.

W.I.N. (What’s Important Now?) For over a decade, I have made a quarterly visit to the Hotel Hershey to map out the next three months of my life. For whatever reason, this nearby historic hotel has allowed me to access a mental flow state that pushes me past small thinking and limiting beliefs. And so, with exactly 6 months to go in 2026, here I am again charting the course ahead for all areas of my life. Onward and upward!

Today, I witnessed something extraordinary. My wife graduated from Brandeis University with her MBA.

Over the past 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of watching her journey: from Drexel, to her medical degree from George Washington University Medical School, on to residency, and now to this moment. But what strikes me most isn’t just the degrees. It’s how she’s earned them.

While pursuing this MBA, she’s been a devoted wife, an engaged mother to our two children, a physician committed to her patients’ care, and a hospital administrator leading to impact our communities.

In a world full of beginners, she’s a finisher. Every single time.

What I admire most is her unwavering commitment to putting her patients first, even as she’s juggling everything else. She doesn’t just chase excellence; she embodies it.

I’m not sure there’s a word big enough for the pride I feel today. Watching her cross this finish line, yet again, reminded me why I’m truly blessed to share this life with her.

Congratulations to my incredible wife. You’ve done it again. šŸŽ“ Love you, Silly!

This picture was taken exactly 2 years ago right before the Jim Thorpe Marathon: Soon after, 17 miles into the race, I experienced crushing chest pain while on a rail trail, completely alone with no cellphone signal. I managed to walk the final 9 miles without telling anyone about my health scare.

Weeks later, I confided in my wife. This quickly led to an appointment with a cardiologist, who reviewed my CT angiogram and expressed concern. After undergoing a cardiac catheterization and receiving a few stents, I spent several weeks in cardiac rehab and was eventually cleared to return to my nornal activities.

However, life is no longer ā€œnormal.ā€ This experience has shifted my perspective significantly, imparting lessons that I hope will last a lifetime—measured in decades, not just years.

My one big lesson: Listen to your body.

We’re constantly told to look for the light, to find the positive angle, to let inspiration pull us forward. And yes, that works... until it doesn’t. There are seasons in life where positive affirmations feel hollow. Where the pressure is immense and the path forward is obscured. In those moments, sometimes you need a different kind of fuel to pull you through.

This post isn’t about dwelling on negativity; it’s about harnessing it. It’s about acknowledging the doubt, the disrespect, and the dismissiveness, and instead of letting it crush you, letting it propel you.

Let that sting become your motivation. Let that anger become your focus. Let that disrespect become your determination.

Use it to build something undeniable. Use it to become the man, the father, and the leader you were meant to be.

The ultimate goal isn’t just to win; it’s to win so definitively that the noise fades away, leaving you with a big, confident smile on your face, knowing you used everything to get there.

Today would have marked my brother Robert’s 51st birthday. Tragically, his life was cut short at 38 due to a heart attack, which led to a fatal accident while he was driving his taxi cab. At that time, he was working long hours and juggling multiple jobs to support his three children.

His passing served as a wake-up call for me. After undergoing medical tests, I discovered that my heart was at serious risk. This revelation prompted significant changes in my life. I adopted a vegan lifestyle, became a yoga instructor, embraced regular meditation, and even completed three Ironmans. More importantly, I made the conscious decision to live in a beautiful state.

I have learned to cultivate an eternal perspective. While I still encounter anxious and stress-filled moments, I am determined not to let these moments extend into days.

I am now committed to sharing my journey, hoping that my experiences can illuminate a path for others.

Rest in peace, RCB.
