Good luck to all our Corio teams playing this weekend, as we celebrate women’s round and of course our mums for Mother’s Day on Sunday.

The celebration of Kelli Caldow’s life will be held Friday 1st of May 2026 at 10am at Tuckers Chapel, Barrabool Hills Centre, followed by a private burial.

Please come and help celebrate our beautiful Wife and Mum’s life.

As per Kelli’s request please wear a pop of colour.

A massive congratulations to our Corio players who have been selected to represent the Western Wildcats at the Junior State Championships in July!

We’re thrilled to see our players given this opportunity to compete at a higher level, with several earning their first selection. Best of luck to you all as you showcase your talent at the championships.

Corio Hockey Club sends its deepest condolences on the loss of Kelli.

Kelli was a much loved, valued and deeply respected member of the hockey community. A long-time member and player of Corio Hockey Club, she was always supporting and encouraging others in their hockey journeys. Many within our community will fondly remember Kelli’s unwavering support and the genuine care she showed to everyone she met.

We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Andrew, Tahlia, Emily and Brayden; to Shane, Salli, Rani and Zac; and to Scott, Lisa and Jye, as well as her many friends who were fortunate to know her.

Round one brought great energy, teamwork, and plenty of smiles across all age groups! It was a really positive weekend for the club, with players, families, and supporters all enjoying the return to hockey.

A special highlight and huge milestone for the club, it’s incredible to see a Women’s Division 1 team back representing Corio. A fantastic achievement and a proud moment for everyone involved! ❤️

• Under 8’s: A great effort, not scored against Torquay Tornadoes
• Under 10’s: 4–3 win against Geelong Jaguars
• Under 12’s: 6–0 win against Geelong Jaguars
• Under 14’s: 5–2 win against Newtown Strikers
• Women’s Div 2: 1–1 draw against Geelong Jaguars
• Men’s Div 2: 3–2 win against Geelong Jaguars White
• Women’s Div 1: 4–1 win against Newtown Falcons
• Men’s Div 1: 4–2 win against Newtown Rebels

A huge effort from everyone involved! From our youngest players getting their first taste of the game to our senior teams setting the tone for the season ahead.

Plenty of positives to build on, and if this weekend is anything to go by, we’re in for an exciting season. Go Corio! 💪

🚨 Training Cancelled Tonight 🚨

Hi everyone,

As many of you may have heard, there has been a major fire overnight at Viva Energy near Stead Park, which is still currently burning.

Following advice from Hockey Geelong and a Viva employee, we’ve been strongly advised not to train tonight.

As a result, Corio Seniors training has been cancelled for this evening.

Senior training is back on tomorrow night! 💪

Join us at Stead Park from 7:00pm to 8:00pm.
Everyone is welcome—whether you’re returning or keen to get involved, we’d love to see you there!

We understand this season may be a bit tricky, with senior and junior games potentially clashing, different locations, JCC weekend and matches scheduled over the winter school holidays. This can make it challenging, especially for parents who are also playing.

The earlier we know your availability, the easier it will be to organise teams ahead of each game.
