It's been a long time since we've had some posts, and I wanted to thank our newest friends for joining. If you have any pics of your R/C F1 cars, or cars in classes that we ran/run, feel free to post them. Enjoy your time looking through the pics and videos.
Formula R/C
FORMULA R/C was started by a group of friends who enjoy the competitiveness and camaraderie of radio
FORMULA R/C is a group of friends who enjoy racing radio controlled vehicles. The focus of our group is to draw the r/c racing community together from different areas in order to compete in a competitive, yet friendly atmosphere. By meeting others, we strengthen our friendships, and share some laughs. In our inaugural year, we will be focusing on Tamiya based scale Formula1 as well as replicas of

The 2019 F1 liveries are pretty cool so far. Should be a sexy looking field for this year.
Thoughts on the new Haas, other than it's a copy of the Lotus/John Players Special.https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.first-look-all-the-angles-of-haas-new-2019-livery.l4qlJmDtedmTkv0zan1bH.html
Just a reminder that there isNo Formula RC this Sat. However, Oshkosh club racing will be running.
Final season points are in. Congratulations to our champions and podium finishers for a hard fought year. Trophy race will be after the new year. Until then we look forward to seeing you all in the club racing at Hobbytown.
ATTENTION!!! Due to a scheduling conflict with the Hobby town USA club season starting in October, The Formula R/C Season has ended as of today. If you have any questions, Bill can help you out. We do plan on holding the trophy race sometime after the new year.
I'd personally like to thank each and every one of the racers who stuck with Formula R/C over the seasons for your support, and allowing us to put on a program for you that was competitive, yet fun . I hope that you enjoyed your time with the program. Also, a huge thank you to Bill for calling the races, as well as Matt Dobberke, and anybody else who helped during this season. Sorry that I couldn't be there, but the stroke really killed my ability to drive. Hopefully, some time, I can get back on the track soon. It's been a hell of a ride for Formula R/C, and a pleasure to race with you guys. Thanks again! - Perry
Well Kevin, he certainly isn't you, and that's a good thing!

Here are the updated points from the August races. There has been some really tight racing as of late. Let's keep it up! Thanks to Matt Dobberke for doing the calculations!
Ugly or not, the HALO saved a life yesterday. I'm surprised that Indy Car doesn't have one on their cars yet. Could have easily been a death in the Wickens crash as well.
This Onboard From Hartley's Car Gives The Clearest View Of How The Halo Saved Leclerc As if you needed any more convincing, this shot shows how much worse yesterday's crash could have been
Some great racing yesterday. Thanks to everybody for coming, and supporting the series. We hope that you're enjoying it.
A real bummer, but perhaps we can see him running Indy Car, or better yet IMSA prototypes.
I just wanted to thank everybody for their support, and showing for the benefit race that Matt, Bill and Bob put on at Hobbytown today. We do these races so that everybody can spend time with their racing friends over the summer. I'm happy to call all of you just that,m friends. Thanks again, and I hope that you had a great time! You really put on a show today :)
Thanks to all that showed for the first three races of season #7 of FORMULA R/C. Hope that all of you had a good time, and made it home safely. There was some really tight racing action, and the new LM class drivers really put on a heck of a show. VTA also had tight racing with three different drivers putting a victory in their pocket. F1 was quite intense, and had a lot of action, some in the unfortunate manner. We'll be taking care of that for the next races, in order to try and provide a cleaner field for the drivers.
Thank you to Bill for calling the races as well. Your time and efforts are VERY appreciated. Remember that our next race is June 9th, so we hope to see you there. For those that didn't show, get those cars out there and keep up your driving skills over the summer :) There is plenty of room for you at the track, and we'd love to spend time among more friends in the pits. Thanks to Matt Dobberke for the points updates as well!
Note: The rules regarding NEW! Protoform F26 F1 body(part number 1561-22) have been rescinded, and the body will be allowed for use. ,
Time for some new skins? We have them! Keep your compounds sorted, or just run what looks good on your F1. Hit up Skunkworks Designs Designs if you're down for a set.
Ok, here we go. Season 7 is right around the corner!!! :)
The new rules and dates are now up and posted in the "NOTES" section. MAKE SURE THAT YOU READ THEM, as there are important changes! All NEW rules are in BOLD LETTERING. We'll be posting the flyer for the season as well. Thanks again, and we look forward to providing our racers with yet another awesome season of Formula R/C!
Decal making is in. If you need yours for the upcoming Formula R/C season, let me know. F1, USVTA, GT and LM numbers will be MANDATORY, this season or no points. If you need some numbers, get a hold of me, or Carl S. Thank you.
VTA will include 4 decals, your last name for the windshield, and 2 T/A's, and your name for above the driver's door. 7 per set.
GT will include 3 numbers and driver's door (overhead). Style is reflective. 7 per set.
Any thoughts on the Melborne F1 race? The McLarens looked strong. I think I could see Alanso's smile through his helmet when the TorroRosso Honda took a dump all over the track after the engine blew.
The Invitationals are done, and it seemed like everybody had a good time. The racing was close for sure, with some tight battles. Thank you to everybody for taking the time to join us at the race.
The 2018 season is right around the corner, and we'll be posting the flyer, rules, and dates soon. As always, please feel free to contact us should you have any questions. Thanks again!
Who do you think has the best looking livery for the 2018 F1 season?
Attn Racers. Carl is looking for an F1 ride for 2018. Hit him up if you have one for sale. "Looking to get into F1 for the 2018 season. Anyone have a inexpensive roller?"
Thoughts?
