⭐ Referee Spotlight – Liv Munro ⭐

Meet Liv Munro. Liv has been refereeing for five years, all while still being a high school student, which says a lot about her commitment for the game. You’ll almost always find Liv around the grounds, whether on high school rugby or club matches!

Liv took charge of the 1RB final in 2025 and continues to step up when opportunities come her way. While she loves being involved in 15s, Liv is also a familiar face on the sevens scene, refereeing tournaments all over the country, including Global Youths, Condors and our local competitions.

🔵 Promotion! ⚪

Last night, we were proud to announce the promotion of two of our members from the JRC to the C Panel!

🟣 Jason has been a part of our association for many years now - you'll find him all over Auckland, whether that's the Girls 1st XV on a Monday or U85s on a Saturday. Always striving to improve, it's great to see Jason make the step up into our C Panel!

🟣 Jeanet or JP, as he is better known to our association, joined us from the Waikato a couple of years ago, and since then has been an integral part of the association. From covering three games every weekend, to travelling all over the North Island in the rep season - JP has always shown a drive to improve. It was our pleasure to see JP make the jump to our C panel!

Girls 1st XV is running all over Auckland this afternoon - thanks to all our members who make themselves available for these mid-week games 👏

⭐ Referee Spotlight – Andrew Buchanan ⭐

Meet Andrew Buchanan. Andrew has been around rugby his whole life and has been refereeing for over 20 years. He’s the kind of referee who always has his hand up and can be trusted to take care of any game that’s put in front of him.

Over the years, Andrew has had plenty of highlights, including refereeing finals and 1A matches. His experience, calm approach and commitment to the game make him a real asset to our refereeing community.
