đŦ 30 Days Video Editing Journey â Episode 13
Edit to the Beat đĩâī¸
Music isn't just something we put underneath a video.
It can actually help guide the edit.
Today I'm learning how to use the beat and rhythm of music to make cuts feel more natural and satisfying.
A few things I'm practicing:
đĩ Finding the important beats
âī¸ Placing cuts around the rhythm
đŦ Matching visual changes with music
⥠Using faster cuts for energetic moments
đ Using slower cuts for calmer moments
But there's something important to remember:
Don't cut on every single beat.
Sometimes breaking the rhythm creates more impact.
The goal is not to make the editing predictable.
It's to make the visuals and audio feel connected.
I'm learning that good editing isn't only about knowing where to cut.
It's also about knowing when to cut.
Listen. Feel. Cut.
