Finally, WCAQ Repies..travelling to Victoria for a much awaited cricket 🏏 trip…to play triangular series between - WCAQ Representative Team vs (MYCA) Midyear Cricket Representative Team vs NSW Representative Team. Competition is shaping up to be test of skills and nerves…and first ever away trip by WCAQ Repies..😊

WCAQ Reps Team will depart from Brisbane on Friday, 07 June 2024 and will return back to Brisbane late on Sunday, 09 June 2024.

40 over one day format games will be played in Shepperton, with 1 x game vs Vic Midyear Rep and 1 x game vs NSW Rep.

I can also share that going forward June long weekend (for Vic and NSW) will become annual fixtures for Representatives Cricket between - QLD / VIC / NSW.

Lads are looking forward to some cracking games of cricket and having some fun, with ganes to be live streamed via Frog Box and live scores updated on playHQ.

With clear skies and the sun coming out, there is some good news for Sunday games.

Kianawah Park - All fields OK to play

7th Brigade -OK to play, both fields moved to Synthetic

Marchant Park

Field 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8 & 10 - Will all go ahead on time.

Field 4 - Should play with a delayed start of 12pm. Subject to reassessment.

Field 9 - No play today.

WINTER SEASON SATURDAY 2-DAY GAME FORMAT
COMMENCES ON 1ST JUNE

For SATURDAY Grades (Senior + U15 & U16), the 1st June sees the start of the 2-Day Game format. (with exception of U/12 grades which are all one-day games)

Notes: To avoid the necessity of many teams asking questions, it is recommended that Team Captains read the relevant rules for your Competition in the Winter season Handbook on teh Warehouse Website. https://www.warehousecricket.org/

Some Tips:

1. ALL games revert to 11.30 start time (whether 2 day games or weather enforced One-day games (now 35 Overs per side)

2. Substitutes: (apply ONLY in a 2-Day game with 3 additional players)

• "Substitutes" under Rule 2.1.1 starting on Page 9 of the General rules, applies ONLY TO DAY 2 of a 2-Day Game. (ie the additional 3 players can only bat or bowl on the 2nd Day of a 2-Day Game) subject to:

• the names of the 14 players must be included in the Team list PRIOR to the Toss on Day 1.

• The Opposition Team Capt/coach is the only authority to vary this rule.

Note: - Supersub players apply ONLY to One Day games)'

Given showers overnight & some more out in Moreton Bay, there will be an UPDATE BY 9.00AM.

AT THIS TIME: There will be a DELAYED start to 12.00 midday for ALL ovals, with EXCEPTION of Marchant 3, which is covered and should start on time.

Currently, there are no other delays.
