This past week, Canadian Olympian Audrey Leduc reached the 60m semifinals at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Poland, clocking 7.21—just barely shy of her personal best!

A national record-holder and proven competitor, she continues to push the standard of Canadian sprinting.

Canadian Olympian Lucia Stafford competed in the 1500m at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Poland, clocking 4:12.81.

With multiple international appearances to her name, she continues to represent Canada with consistency and strength in one of the sport’s most competitive events.

After running 1:45.92 earlier this season — one of the fastest times in the NCAA — Abdullahi Hassan stepped onto the world stage at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Poland.

In his professional debut, he advanced to the 800m semifinals, finishing top 20 in 1:47.05.

From a breakout NCAA season to competing with the world’s best, his progression is just getting started.

A world finalist! 🇨🇦

This past week, Canadian Olympian Zoe Sherar reached the 400m final at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Poland, running a blistering 51.74.

A consistent presence on the global stage, she continues to establish herself as a top competitor in the 400m.

Congrats to Zoe for her performance, and for once again representing Canada among the world’s best!

From local tracks to the global stage 🇨🇦

This past week, BC’s own Emma Cannan made her international track and field debut at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Poland, competing in the women’s 400m and finishing in 52.57.

A big first step at this level, and a sign of what’s ahead for one of Canada’s rising talents.

A huge shoutout to Emma for her performance, we’re so excited to see what the future holds for her!

A huge performance on the world stage 🇨🇦

This past week, Sarah Mitton took home silver in Women’s Shot Put at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Poland, throwing an impressive 19.78m!

Continuing to solidify herself as one of the very best in the world, she adds another major win to her already stacked resume.

Cheers to Sarah on her outstanding accomplishment!

Congratulations to Gabriela DeBues-Stafford. The Jerome Classic alumni won the women’s 3,000m in an impressive 8:35.94 minutes at the INIT Indoor Meeting Karlsruhe in Germany. This is just two seconds shy of her own Canadian record of 8:33.92, set in 2022.

At the 2024 Jerome Classic, also set a new meet record in the Women’s 5,000m, finishing with a time of 15:17.48.

Congratulations to on her race at the First Half. The Jerome Classic alum race walked her way to a strong 1:42:29 finish.

We’re especially proud to celebrate Olivia’s continued success after her standout performance at the Jerome Classic, where she set a U23 national record in the 3000m race walk with a blazing 12:56.26.

💥Sarah Mitton: 2x Olympian and 2x World Indoor Shot Put Champion, is on fire. After setting a meet record (20.14m) at the 2025 Jerome Classic, Mitton just opened her 2026 season with a huge 20.22m throw at the opening meet of the 2026 Athletics Canada National Track & Field Tour in Saskatoon.

🥇 From BC to World Champion! 🇨🇦
BC’s own Greg Stewart, already a two-time Paralympic champion, added another milestone to his incredible athletics journey. After throwing 15.76m at the Jerome Classic, he launched a season-best 16.68m to claim his first World Para Athletics Championships gold in the men’s F46 shot put in New Delhi.
