At Atalanta FC, we are fortunate to have a coaching team with a wealth of experience, knowledge and passion for player development.

During almost 25 years of service within Southampton FC's renowned academy, Tony received the prestigious Legacy Award in recognition of his contribution to youth player development.

Tony coached former Southampton FC Premier League player Sam McQueen at U13/U14 level and now coaches alongside him with Southampton FC's U15/U16 age groups.

⚽️ Four Teams, Four Big Performances ⚽️

A huge day for the club, with four teams in their new season age groups battling through the heat, showing real quality, and representing us brilliantly. Two tournament winners, two runners‑up, and four squads who gave everything.

U10 Performance — Tournament Winners 🏆

A long, hot day, but the girls played some excellent football on the bigger pitches. They progressed through the group stages with just one defeat and only two goals conceded, earning a place in the final against the team that had beaten them earlier. This time, the girls dominated possession, created all the chances, and did everything but score. After a goalless final, they held their nerve to win the penalty shootout 3–2. With new players integrating seamlessly, the team showed fantastic togetherness, determination, and quality throughout the day. A fully deserved tournament win.

U11 Performance — Tournament Runners‑Up 🥈⚽

Ringwood Tournament Runners‑up! The girls put together a fantastic campaign, dominating from start to finish and playing excellent football throughout. Even more impressively, for some it was their first time playing together, yet they worked brilliantly as a real team on and off the pitch. They won every match and conceded just one goal all tournament — a late strike with two minutes left in the final. The title was then decided by a penalty shoot‑out, that part of football where anything can happen. A superb runners‑up finish.

U9 Performance — Tournament Winners 🏆

In sweltering heat, the girls came out as tournament winners. They played brilliant football all day, scoring great goals and — incredibly — not conceding a single goal across the entire tournament. The final was tight, with the opposition sitting deep and trying to counter, but the girls stayed patient, kept control, and found a way to secure the victory. A superb performance and a fully deserved tournament win.

U10 — Tournament Runners‑Up 🥈

With no substitutes available and temperatures soaring, the girls showed incredible determination and resilience throughout the day. After finishing 4th in the league stage, they dug deep in their semi‑final and earned their place in the final after a dramatic penalty shootout. They just fell short at the last hurdle, losing 1–0 in a close final, but their effort, attitude, and togetherness were outstanding. A brilliant runners‑up performance in tough conditions.

We are excited to announce an official partnership with Portsmouth and Southsea Futsal Club, the region’s premier structured futsal programme.

This collaboration provides our U13–U16 players with a direct pathway to elite-level technical development. Guided by Portsmouth and Southsea’s ethos of "Unity in Motion, Excellence in Play," our players will now have access to weekly, high-intensity training led by their experienced, qualified coaching staff.
