The action didn’t stop this weekend! Two of our U11 squads were out in full force on Sunday.

🏆 U11 White: GUILDFORD CITY FC TOURNAMENT

A brilliant display of pure grit from our U11 White squad! The girls never really hit top gear and found it tough going early on, finishing 3rd in their group. However, great teams find a way to win even when they aren't playing their best, and that is exactly what they did in the Plate knockout stages. They dug deep, worked tirelessly, and managed to grind out two hard-fought 1-0 victories in both the semi-final and the final to take home the silverware. A fantastic lesson in resilience—our PLATE WINNERS! 🥇

🥈 U11 Maroon: DIDCOT TOWN FC TOURNAMENT

Football can be a cruel game, but our U11 Maroon girls put on a great performance! The girls dominated from the start, winning their group before showing nerves of steel to win their Cup semi-final 3-1 on penalties. The final was an absolute heartbreaker—we easily could have been 4-0 up in normal time and missed a golden-goal opportunity before hitting a tough 2-1 loss on penalties. Unbelievably though, they didn't concede a single goal in open play all day, and they did it without a dedicated goalkeeper! A massive, heroic effort from all the girls who took turns between the sticks. CUP RUNNERS-UP! 🥈

Proud of our U12 Performance Team at the JPL Nationals! 🦅✨

Earning the right to play in Warwick after winning the league and playoffs was already a massive achievement. Facing the elements and the best teams in the country, the girls gave it everything.

Though a slow start cost us a 2-0 defeat to South Gloucestershire RTC in the opening match, the turnaround was fantastic. We pushed eventual champions Millwall all the way, just losing out 1-0 in a really tough battle. To have their coach praise us afterwards as the best footballing team they faced all day speaks volumes about the style and identity of this team. We then wrapped up the tournament with a fantastic, high-energy 1-1 draw against local rivals AFC Stoneham.

The girls got better as the day progressed and proved that they can go toe-to-toe with anyone. Thank you to all the parents and coaches for braving the rain and supporting the girls on this amazing journey! 🌧️👏

WHAT A SATURDAY FOR THE CLUB! 🏆⛈️

Our teams showed unmatched grit, talent, and serious heart across the board. Despite some absolutely awful weather, our players braved the elements and left everything on the pitch—many playing with zero substitutes or playing up an age group! Check out these incredible results:

🥇 U8 Performance Team (Pace Youth Tournament) – CHAMPIONS! 🏆 Played with zero subs in miserable weather and went undefeated in the groups, scoring 17 goals and conceding just 1. They stormed the semi-final 6-0 and dug deep for a gritty 1-0 win in the final!

🥈 U9 Maroon (Dorchester Town Tournament) – RUNNERS-UP! 🥈 Battled driving rain with zero substitutes to finish second in their group. They fought hard through the quarters and semis, narrowly missing out 2-1 in a heartbreakingly close final. A heroic effort!

🥈 U9 Performance Team (One Tournament) – RUNNERS-UP! 🥈 Dominated the group stage, winning every single game with zero subs to rotate. They cruised through the semi-final 5-0 before the freezing, wet conditions caught up to them in a tight 1-0 loss in the final.

🥈 U13 Performance Team (Oxford City JPL Tournament) – PLATE RUNNERS-UP! 🥈 Played UP against tough U14 opposition and went unbeaten in the group stage. They won their Plate semi-final 1-0 and put in a gutsy performance, only missing out on penalties in the final.

🥈 U15 Performance Team (Oxford City JPL Tournament) – PLATE GROUP RUNNERS-UP! 🥈 Stepped up against mainly U16 teams in the driving rain. The girls gave absolutely everything against the older players, battling through a demanding schedule to secure a fantastic finish.

A massive congratulations to all of our players, coaches, and the parents who braved the awful weather to support. The future of this club is incredibly bright! 🌟

What a way to kick off the summer tournament season! Our U8 Performance Team put on an absolute masterclass at the Pace Youth FC Tournament on Saturday, and they did it the hard way—with zero substitutes in the miserable weather. Talk about pure talent. They went completely undefeated in the group stage, racking up an incredible 17 goals while conceding just 1. They carried that unstoppable momentum straight into the knockout rounds, storming through the semi-final with a dominant 6-0 win, before digging deep to clinch the trophy with a gritty 1-0 victory in the final! 👑 CHAMPIONS! 🥇

Talk about determination! Our U9 Maroon team showed incredible resilience on Saturday, battling through driving rain and awful conditions with zero substitutes to back them up. Despite the grueling weather, they fought hard to finish as runners-up in their group. They kept that momentum flying into the knockout stages, digging deep to win both their quarter-final and semi-final matches, before narrowly missing out in a heartbreakingly close 2-1 loss in the final. A superb, heroic effort on a very tough day! RUNNERS-UP! 🥈⛈️

🥈 U9 Performance Team: ONE TOURNAMENT

Our U9 Performance Team put on another masterclass in grit this Saturday! This squad absolutely dominated the group stage, winning every single game. They carried that fierce momentum right into the semi-final, storming their way to a spectacular 5-0 victory. Just like their clubmates, they did all of this with zero substitutes to rotate. Ultimately, the freezing cold and wet conditions got the better of them in the final, where they narrowly missed out in a tight 1-0 loss. A super effort from a fantastic group in awful weather! RUNNERS-UP! 🥈🌧️

🛡️ U13 Performance Team: OXFORD CITY JPL TOURNAMENT

Our U13s stepped up to a massive challenge on Saturday, competing in a JPL-only tournament and playing up against some tough U14 opposition while battling the elements. They showed absolutely zero fear, proving they belong by drawing all three of their group games against the older teams. That unbeaten run saw them progress to the Plate competition, where they beat Wiltshire Academy 1-0, before eventually falling on penalties in the final to an U14 side. An incredible, gutsy performance to finish as PLATE RUNNERS-UP! 🥈

🛡️ U15 Performance Team: OXFORD CITY JPL TOURNAMENT

Our U15 Performance squad faced a similar test on Saturday, stepping up to compete against mainly U16 teams in the driving rain. They rose to the challenge brilliantly, battling through a demanding group stage to progress into the Plate competition. Placed into another highly competitive knockout group for the Plate, the girls gave absolutely everything against the older players, finishing a fantastic tournament run as PLATE GROUP RUNNERS-UP! 🥈

A massive congratulations to all of our players, coaches, and the parents who braved Saturday's awful weather to support the teams. The future of this club is incredibly bright! 🌟⚽️

🏆 ANOTHER TOURNAMENT WEEKEND ACROSS THE CLUB! 🏆

In addition to our U15 Performance team, we had four other squads in action over the weekend, giving absolutely everything in the roasting hot sun! ☀️⚽

Saturday Action ⚡

Our U11 White team had an early, scorching start on Saturday as they headed to the Oxford Blackbirds Tournament. The girls played some lovely football right from the off, but a string of 0-0 group games meant they fought their way into the Plate competition. They found their breakthrough in the semi-final, and then completely woke up for the big game! Moving the ball brilliantly at pace, they turned on the style for a fantastic 3-0 win to take home the trophy! 🏆

Meanwhile, our U11 Black team traveled to the Highcliffe Hawks Tournament to play in a mixed U11/U12 event. With three U10 girls included in the squad, they gave an absolutely incredible account of themselves. They lost just two games all day and battled their way all the way to the Plate Final, narrowly finishing as proud runners-up after a tight 1-0 match against an U12 side. An unbelievable effort from them against some older opposition! 👏🥈

A massive shout-out also goes to our U12 Performance squad, who took on a huge challenge on Saturday at the Winklebury Tournament. They tested themselves by playing against the U12 boys and put on a brilliant display of football, working incredibly hard to make it all the way to the semi-finals! 💪🔥

Sunday Showcase 🌟

The football continued into Sunday as our U11 Performance team headed to the Ruislip Rangers Tournament to test themselves in the higher-level competition. After a strong showing to finish second in the group stage, it turned into a day of "ifs, buts, and maybes" as they were heartbreakingly knocked out on penalties in the semi-final. However, they brushed themselves down and showed their absolute class to win the 3rd/4th play-off comfortably!

It was a massively hot weekend for everyone, but all four squads showed incredible resilience, dug deep, and most importantly, had an absolute blast together between the games. 🤩

What a rollercoaster of a morning for our U15 Performance team in their very first summer tournament! ⚽️☀️

The girls started the day on absolute fire, putting on a dominant display in the group stages and winning every single game to fly into the knockouts. 🚀

As the morning wore on, the heat and heavy legs started to catch up with them. But even when running on empty, this team showed incredible grit and determination. They dug deep for a superb 3-0 win in the quarter-final, before enduring a nerve-wracking penalty shootout victory in the semi-final to book their place in the final! 🎯🧤

In the final, fatigue finally took its toll. A long throw-in and a quick tap-in caught us off guard, meaning we finished the day as tournament Runners-Up.

We couldn't be prouder of the work rate, team spirit, and brilliant football on display today. A fantastic start to the summer tournament season! 👏👏
