Made some breakfast sausage patties. Used ground turkey breast and seasoned with salt and pepper and crushed red pepper. My #1 problem is what I eat so trying REALLY hard to create more healthy substitutes. Happy Sunday!

Today I came to a coffee shop to get some work done before I go home and enjoy this wonderful Christmas eve day.

I started by pulling out my Journal and writing out the things that I’m grateful for.

The first thing that came to mind was my family and the love and connection that we share. This warms my heart more than anything.

I'm grateful that my parents and my sister's family celebrated thanksgiving with us, we were able to connect and spend time together. This also warms my heart.

I'm also grateful for my health and the abundance of opportunities I have available to me.

I am ESPECIALLY GRATEFUL that I’m aware of the things that I'm writing about now.

If I wasn’t aware or taking the time to think about these things, I would not be having these amazing feelings of love and abundance.

I would be thinking about all the things I have to do.

The Holidays are the best time of the Year.

Take a moment today to write out all the things you are grateful for and watch what happens.

This will put you in a state of being fulfillment that money can’t buy.

THE EXPERIENCE OF FEELING…

Peace, Love and Happiness

Take moments over the next couple days to open your eyes and appreciate the experiences and the gifts that are given to you!

Eating and exercising are important but taking time for your mental health is taking your health to the next level!

Wendy and I went to our Midwife appointment on Friday and everything is going great, baby is growing and thriving and as Wendy loves to say in every pregnancy she is “glowing and growing”!! ☺️

We are so excited for our new addition!

During the appointment our midwife asked us a long list of questions that we positively answered to which she mentioned that we are such easy clients.

We did have to take a blood test to check for gestational diabetes which we haven't got back but we are confident that it's going to be great.

Wendy lives and makes healthy choices of exercising and eating healthy for her and the baby.

She is not an over eater and does not overindulge in the junk food she is craving.

This is taking preventive measures for her health and the baby.

I'm not an expert on pregnancy and some could argue she has great genetics and just lucky that things are going so smoothly.

And yes part of that is probably true but she again is proactive taking care of her health.

This is the point of this email.

Be proactive in your health by making healthy choices.

Wendy’s good fourtunate of the great health she has during this pregnancy is not just the choices she is making right now but an accumulation of all the choices she’s been making her whole life.

This is what I want to leave you with and I hope this changes your life.

Be proactive in your health right now by making healthy choices for yourself.

Exercise and Eat Nutritiously!

It will not only help you look and feel better NOW but you will accumulate stronger health for later!

You’ve probably heard the popular phrase:

“Weight loss is a marathon, not a sprint.”

And on the surface, that seems like a positive mindset to adopt 👍...

But even though it *sounds* good, it’s the saying still has it all wrong ❌

Weight loss isn’t a sprint, but it’s not a marathon either. Both of those statements would infer there’s an END date, which simply isn’t the 🙅‍♂️…

Of course, you won’t always be trying to LOSE weight, but(t🍑) if your goal is to maintain a healthy body for the rest of your life, then the changes you’re making right now need to be changes you can see yourself sticking to for the rest of your life!

No, that doesn’t mean you’ll have to count calories or keep a food diary forever...

But you’ll always need to be mindful of your food choices, activity level, and body composition to some degree.

The cool part is —> when you focus on making sustainable changes, they quickly become habit.

They become your new normal, and you don’t have to force yourself to work out or eat healthily...

It’ll just be what you do 😊👌

You reach a point where fitness stops being an additional stressor and starts to improve the other areas of your life...

Which is the way it should be!

Moral of the Story ✅:

Weight loss is not a sprint.
It’s not a marathon either…

It’s a lifelong commitment to living a healthier (and ultimately, happier) life ❤️

Consistency Not Perfection

What matters is you show up and do the work.

It doesn’t have to be perfect and be the best workout of your life every single time.

The most important thing is showing up!

👉 Sometimes you will have a great workout! Other you won’t
👉 Sometimes you Feel like you’re on top of the world and in control then other times you won’t.
👉 Sometimes the workouts will be easy and other times they will suck! (Being real)

Remember… They always serve a purpose.

They are making your life better! When you are being consistent in showing up your body will be changing and getting stronger and healthier!

BELIEVE THIS!

It will help you on the days you’re struggling!

Stay consistent!

YOU ARE WORTH IT!!

Consistently good is infinitely better than inconsistently perfect. 💪🏼

That’s not my way of encouraging you to half ass it.

It’s my way of...

1) Getting you to stop beating yourself up over some holiday pizza or a fat slice of Oreo ice cream cake or cauldron full of Fizzing Whizbees or a sack of powdered Sugar Quills or a pan of pumpkin pasties.

Ideally, you wouldn’t have the whole lot in one go.

But even if you did...it’s not going to make or break your progress.

Because, remember, you’re never more than one bite away from being right back on track.

And just like no one ever got jacked from one workout or skinny from one salad...no one got fat from one “bad” holiday meal.

So relax. Stop beating yourself up for having a treat. Enjoy it. Then get back on plan.

2) Encouraging you to stop wasting your time waiting for the “perfect” opportunity.

Because it’s never going to come.

Ever.

You will always be busy. You will always have other things to take care of. You will rarely (if ever) think you’re 100% ready to dive in head first.

There will never be a perfect time.

You will never be perfectly ready.

And the longer you wait for the opportunity to be “perfect,” the longer you delay your chance to make your own magic.

So.

Stop waiting.

Go do it.

Now.

And don’t forget to have some fun.

Sometimes you're retaining water.⁣

Sometimes...you weighed in before your morning dump.⁣

The scale can be deceiving, especially if you're strength training.⁣

That's not to say it's not a useful tool (it is).⁣

The problem with weight loss is it's a zigzaggy trip down.⁣

Your weight will fluctuate often - day to day especially and even week to week.⁣

Focus on a few key areas:⁣

1) Where you started and where you are now⁣

If your weight is coming down in the grand scheme of things, great. The slower you lose the more likely it is you will maintain your weight loss - that's a huge benefit.⁣

2) Other markers of progress⁣

The way you feel, your energy levels, the way your clothes fit, the way you look in the mirror, your confidence...don't ignore these other signs of progress.⁣

While these outcome-based goals are great, let's also not forget more process-based goals like setting PRs in the gym, eating protein at every meal, eating vegetables at every meal, etc. These small wins will help keep you motivated along your journey.⁣
