Tonight’s State Championship Game has been postponed until Friday.

20/07/2023

The 10-12 yr old NC Little League State Finals are scheduled for 6:30 pm Thursday (and Friday if necessary) at Parker Meadows Complex, Franklin, NC. South Durham vs Myers Park. Rain is possible in Franklin today, so stay tuned for any potential weather related changes. Games will be streamed on SD and MP GameChanger sites. See comments below for links.

Some additional info:

South Durham is seeking its first ever State Championship in the 10-12 yr old Little League Division. Myers Park is looking for its second, the last being in 2013.

South Durham beat Myers Park 3-2 on Tuesday to prevail in the winners bracket. So MP must beat SD twice, both Thursday and Friday.

The last 3 times these teams have met, SD has won by 1 run.

District 6 and specifically the city of Durham are looking for their second consecutive State Championship, with Bull City LL winning in 2022 in Rocky Mount.

This is the second straight year that Myers Park has reached the 10-12 yr old LL finals, beating a Greenville team both times to get there. In 2022 Myers Park beat Bull City 3-0 to force a game 2.

This South Durham team reached the 9-11 yr old state finals last year at Myers Park, finishing second to Greenville Tar Heel.

The last 3 games of this tournament have had a final score of 3-2. All 5 games played between South Durham, Myers Park, Greenville Tar Heel and Winston-Salem National have been 1-run games.

Hello everyone and welcome to our page. Here is some general information about this site as we get into the 2023 All-Star season….

This page is here to share information regarding North Carolina Little League Baseball District and State Tournaments associated with Little League Baseball, Incorporated. It is not an official Little League Baseball, Inc. page and the information shared here is not official. We are not directly affiliated with Little League Baseball, Inc. We are just volunteers and fans trying to tie the NC LL community a little closer together.

This is NOT a general youth baseball page. Nor is it a softball page. It’s is specifically about Little League, Inc. Baseball tournaments, teams and leagues in NC. We have nothing against softball or other youth organizations, but it is just not the focus and expertise of this page. If you are looking for information on non-LL baseball organizations, we encourage you do do a FB search for those groups or pages.

Our primary focus will be the official International 10-12 year old (“12u”) Little League Baseball Tournament, which begins at the District level. But there will be plenty of discussion and information regarding the other age groups of Little League Baseball as well.

If you want to join our Discussion Group....

Our Discussion Group is for Little League coaches, administrators, volunteers and families. No companies - individual real people only. No lurkers. No poachers. No solicitors. Only folks directly tied to NC LL.

*** There are 2 very simple questions that must be answered when you are requesting access to the group. If you fail to answer the questions, or answer them incorrectly, you won’t be added to the group. ***

Solicitations posted in the Group for baseball facilities, camps, travel ball tryouts, other businesses, etc. are not allowed. They will be deleted and you will immediately be banned from the group. The last person to post a solicitation was gone in 60 seconds.

Please help us out by sharing any info you have regarding tournament schedules, results, etc. in the Group. It’s a group effort. That’s the idea. And ask any questions. There are a lot of knowledgeable people around here who can usually help you out. There’s a decent chance your question has already been answered, so you just might want to start by searching the group for what you’re interested in.

Thanks, and have fun out there this summer. Good luck to all the teams.
