NMB - North Metro Basketball

These NMB ladies finished this season off with a CHAMPIONSHIP at the Midwest Meltdown-AAU World Championship NCAA certified tournament! They pulled out a 47-46 win over the WI Impact. The girls were 5-0 this week and ended this season with a respectable record of 20-11. It is so amazing and rewarding to watch these young ladies grow on and of the court and make forever memories. Thank you to the amazing players and families for another fun season.

We would like to invite all basketball players entering grades 5-12 to participate in the 4th annual NMB (North Metro Basketball) Summer Skills Basketball Camp 2019!

WHO should attend? basketball players (entering grade 5-12 for 2019-20 school year) Camp will be differentiated for younger and older campers.

WHAT will my player learn at NMB Camp? This camp is designed by skilled coaches to improve player's basketball knowledge, skills, strength and speed. The camp emphasizes footwork, shooting, and personal development all while having lots of fun playing basketball!

All players will receive a camp t-shirt and have an opportunity to meet high school and collegiate basketball players.

WHERE/WHEN does the camp take place? Champlin Park High School in Brooklyn Park, MN. Join us Monday-Friday, July 22- July 26, from 10am-12pm

COST/PLAYER? The cost of this five day camp is $125.

NMB Summer Skills Basketball Camp Registration Camp dates are July 22 -July 26 (M-F) from 10am - 12pm Camp will be held at Champlin Park High School. Players should bring a basketball and a water bottle.

NMB ended this 19-20 with an impressive win over SEN Blue Crew by a score of 50-18. They closed their season 19-8 overall. They won two championships, two second place, third place at AAU State and even 5th place today. Winning 70% of your games is excellent, but the exciting thing about this group of girls is they are never satisfied with this. They want to win every game! They want more! They want to be better and they work on things they are told to do to become better! And when they play the with that kind of tenacity and determination they can’t be beat! Thank you to the amazing families who continue to allow Coach Jones and Coach ShaRon to teach your daughter the game of basketball. Thank you to the players for representing NMB, a small program from the northern metro, founded by girls who wanted to become better basketball players, 5 short years ago. You’ve put yourself on the map! We are so proud of each player and the progress shown this year. We can’t wait for next season to begin!

A win and 90+ degrees means a Starbucks run and air conditioning are necessary!

NMB 7 beat All Iowa Attack National 31-23 this am! One final game for this 19-20 season against SEN Blue Crew from Nebraska at 1:25pm.

When it’s time to get ready for day two, Coach Jones has to take drastic measures. “All your phones are mine tonight.” Time to bond old school style.

NMB 7 is closing the spring season in the Heartland Grade School Championships in Ames, IA. Two competitive games today against Brandon Valley and All Iowa Attack Nike Black. NMB didn’t take home the wins today but they have lots of people asking “where are YOU from?” So proud of these girls!

The ladies are after another championship this weekend! They ended the day 2-0 leading into the MYAS State Semi-finals! Let’s go NMB 7!

NMB 7 dominated the opponents this weekend in the AAU May Madness Tournament! They ended up Champions of the tournament with a win over Northpost 7, 41-38! The coaches continue to share the little things they do make it all possible! Free throws! Finishing Lay-ups and tenacious defense wins games. NMB 7 delivered on all accounts this weekend! Next up, MYAS State!

And just like that, they are back to the Championship game! NMB 7 had a great start to the AAU May Madness Tournament this morning! Defeating Air MN 33-6 and MN Heat 43-33. Stay tuned for tomorrow at 11:30am’s Championship game vs Team Northpost 7!
