A big thank you to the VIU Men’s Soccer team for joining us at our 3rd annual ‘Na̱mg̱is First Nation soccer Camp. We’re grateful to have the team show the youth in Alert Bay the level that’s out there and where they can go with soccer, while also having the opportunity to learn from our youth as they shared their culture, community, and their skills to the players and coaches.

We appreciate the connection, the support, and the memories made 🫶🏼⚽️

Join us for our 9 Nations Soccer Day!

We're excited to welcome children and youth ages 5–18 to the Stz'uminus First Nation Soccer Field on August 19 for a fun-filled day of soccer, learning, and community!

Participants will have the opportunity to build their skills alongside coaches from the Indigenous Athletics Academy and Vancouver Island University players, while enjoying games, face painting, and plenty of other activities throughout the day.

FINAL SCORE: Young Kingcome Wolves 10 – IAA Coaches 9.

The kids called their shot, Peter scored the winner, and they all celebrated like champions. Safe to say the coaches won't be hearing the end of this one! 😂⚽

Day one back in the homelands! ⚽️⛰️

Watching the youth come together to play, learn, and support one another was a great reminder that the future is bright!!!
