We are disappointed to announce that the August 9 Showcase in Managua has been cancelled unilaterally by Boer. We received this notice less than 12 hours before six of us were to fly to Managua. IBA has planned this event, with Boer's knowledge, for four months and we have made all necessary arrangements to hold the event, including supplying all equipment, funding and volunteers. The decision to cancel is Boer's, alone. As a result, we are postponing the Nica trip. We also had plans to conduct clinics and showcases in two other Nica towns and those are also postponed. The IBA Board wll now decide our future course of action.

IBA/IBACA are proud to welcome Roberto Clemente, Jr. to the IBACA Board of Directors. Roberto shares his late father's commitment to helping the people of Nicaragua and his passion and dedication will be tremendous assets to the project to train and educate young Nicaraguan players and build a baseball academy.
IBA/IBACA are pleased to announce a partnership with Handing Out HOPE, which will be the supplier of donated baseball equipment for use by players in our training program with Boer, as well as for distribution to youth leagues throughout Nicaragua. Handing Out HOPE founder Steve Abrams has also agreed to join the IBACA Board of Directors.

FIRMAN CONVENIO PARA INSTALACION DE ACADEMIAS DE BIESBOL
La Asociación Internacional de Béisbol (IBA) y Internacional de Béisbol Academia de Centroamérica y el Equipo Boer firma un CONVENIO para el estableciendo una programa de trabajo con el objetivo de instalar en Nicaragua la Academia de Béisbol de Nicaragua. IBA-BOER
IBA fue fundada en 2009 con la misión de promover el béisbol en países seleccionados de todo el mundo, mediante el establecimiento de programas de béisbol y de capacitación para la vida activa y la construcción de las academias.
Después varios viajes de investigación y exploración, Nicaragua fue seleccionada como prioridad para el programa IBA. En meses anteriores los miembros de la Junta IBA Reggie Smith, Dave Stewart y Bob Oettinger celebraron una conferencia de prensa en Managua para iniciar la gestión de instalar este programa de Beisbol.
IBA / IBACA han realizado en Nicaragua, clínicas de bateo y pitcheo bajo la supervisión de los ex jugadores de Grandes Ligas Reggie Smith y Brad Lesley.
IBA / IBACA ha distribuido equipos de béisbol para muchos otros países,incluyendo México, Jamaica, Kenya, Nigeria, Colombia y Croacia. ExMajor League receptor Kelly Stinnett representado IBA en la apertura de unaacademia en San Martín, donde también llevó a cabo una clínica de bateo. Los programas de intercambio se han establecido con el mexicano Adrián González y Academias en México y con academias en Jamaica y las Bahamas.
IBA / IBACA tiene una amplia red de contactos y recursos con los actuales y ex Grandes Ligas jugadores, entrenadores y ojeadores, incluyendo Reggie Smith, Dave Stewart (gerente de ahora general de los Diamondbacks), Kelly Stinnett, Ben Zobrist, Frank White, David Green, Marvin Benard, Freddy Sandoval, Jim Leyritz, Steve Sax y Bert Campaneris . Ayudan a las clínicas de conducta, evaluaciones de talento, la formación programas y hablan a grupos de jóvenes jugadores.
El Consejo de la IBA de Administración está integrado por Bob Oettinger, Phil Davis, Buck Newsome, Steve Peeler, Michael Barmasse, Joe Gerbasi, Reggie Smith, Dave Stewart.
