Week 8 in the books! ✅📖

I’ve learned a lot about my nutrition through this journey, such as my intolerances and what I needed to do to better my body and progress myself mentally and physically. It’s tough cutting things out of your normal routine when you find out it’s actually not serving you. 😉 I’m not just talking about Girl Scout Cookies.

I’ve learned that my body doesn’t digest or like certain foods, even though I personally love them. Changes aren’t always easy, but they may be for the best. Cutting out or back on some of my favorites have definitely proven progress through these last 8 weeks. The best part is I honestly don’t miss them. I’ve found substitutes that I tend to crave more. Swapping out my peanut butter (😭 highly intolerant to peanuts) for my Prolessa Duo shot has actually helping me tremendously; and no, I wasn’t eating it out of the jar, peanut powder was my go to lately and I’m rather heartbroken about parting with it BUT I know it’s for the best. Or some delicious grapes instead of candy.

Simple changes like this can lead to some amazing results we never thought possible. Truly can’t wait to compare next week’s (week 9) with the firsts week’s pics!

🤣I love before vs after pics. I truly laugh out loud when I see them because we all look so blah in the befores.

We’re lacking energy, unhappy with how we look and feel and so the before pics are always so 😶 then the after pics come in. We’re happy, we’re feeling good, have some newfound energy we’ve been lacking and clothes fit differently. So we’re all 😁.

Seldom do we look at our faces for any type of measurement, we sit it a half a million times a day so we don’t see what others see. We don’t notice the difference the mirror. It’s not until we see two of our pics, side by side, that we see some differences - one of them usually being a smile ☺️😉.

Posting these weekly pics for all to see has really kept me consistent and motivated. You have all kept me accountable, for not only myself but for those who watch and are debating on if this could work for them. Thanks for joining me on this 9 week journey, we are a few days over 6 weeks in, so about 3 to go!!! 🎉

Thirsty Thursday

I often cover the importance of drinking water because, well…. It’s important. Water helps with so much, weight, complexion, the amount of food we eat, what we eat… so much.

It’s important to start your day off with some water, kick starts your metabolism, helps your body detox, and rehydrates from not drinking any throughout the night as you sleep.

Drink a glass of water before you eat a meal to lessen the amount you eat - also use your non-dominant hand to feed yourself and cut as you eat, stop precutting your food, helps slow your eating which helps not to overeat.

Hydrate before, after and during your workouts. This keeps your body hydrated for the sweat you’re going to or did do.

Lastly, be creative. Water intake doesn’t have to be basic and boring. I like to make mine and energy bomb or throw some tasty collagen in it.

Week 5 IN THE BOOKS!

Each day is a new day, a new chance to get back up and try again. Yesterday is gone, if you messed up, oh well, keep going; if you did great and hit all your goal, great, do it again!

The best thing about each new day if that you have the chance to be 1% better than you were the day before. Work on yourself, do it for you.

Your life only gets better if you do, work on yourself and the rest will follow.

So much energy I had to freeze for a moment.

I’ve been seeing a lot of my curly haired friends embracing their curls lately so I thought, hmm, maybe I can actually accept my mane of a mess if I learn to tame it too.

Flash forward to seeing everyone diffusing their curls leaving them still looking luscious and shiny even after it’s dry. WHAT!? My hair never looks shiny, but I air dry it. So I have it a good and LET ME TELL YOU! I am loving the volume and shine, the fact that after styling my hair doesn’t lose its freshly washed scent or smell slightly burnt (no matter how much or little heat protectant I use 🙄).

I have to say, I was super hesitant on doing this cuz if you grew up in the 90s or early 2000s, you know what it was like learning to style hair. Don’t make me pull out the good ole yearbook and show you when we all discovered the hair straightener 🤣

Embracing the curl! 💁🏻‍♀️

🗓It’s that time of week again! Three weeks down, 6 more to go.

Nutritional value of changing your lifestyle is the most important. Feeding your body what it needs is the best way to keep your health and wellness in check.

Pictured is almost all nutrition with minimal fitness due to having to take things at a slower pace than I would actually like via my chiropractor, but whatever will help me in the long run I am so willing to do so I can be better and have the abilities I need to become stronger.

✨confidence is key.

Am I where I want to be? Nope. Am I progressively working on myself? Absolutely.

Confidently owning who you are, where you are in your journey is the key to happiness. What’s the point in being afraid of who you are? There isn’t. Someone, somewhere is watching and looking up to every move you make. We truly have no idea who’s watching, waiting, cheering you on behind the screen or hoping to one day be just like you. You inspire others when you glow of confidence.

Own who you are. Own your moment. Own your journey. Believe in yourself. Cheer yourself on. Post the pic, forget what people may think Love yourself and every step of your journey.

Smile, be happy, inspire and cheer others on. The thing that makes this world go ‘round is supporting others. So support your fellow confidence owning boss peeps of the world and encourage them to keep their head held high and to keep pushing. Hold your own confidence and encourage it in others.

Sometimes the rain is just so perfect. It fits the mood and relaxes the mind. As the rain washes all the dirt and grime from the surface and waters new beginnings, reflect that into your own life.

We don’t always agree with outcomes in life, but from everything I have learned in my 33 years of life is that everything happens for a reason, and in most cases for the best.

As old doors close, new opportunities swing their doors wide open, just don’t look back too long at the closed doors that you miss the ones that lie ahead.

Take nothing for granted. Enjoy every moment you experience. Love the people who love you, and even the ones who don’t. Chase after your dreams, never give up. If you get knocked down, get back up. Take the time to heal. Respect those who respect you. Love yourself. Pour positive into others and learn to deflect the negative. And don’t let life’s struggles hold you down, but let yourself take the time to heal.

There’s nothing better than the sun and the sand to really enjoy life. However, you don’t need all that to take care of yourself and give yourself some self love. Today is the perfect day to refuel and energize yourself for the coming week. Let the negative go and create space for new beginnings and opportunities. Take care of you so you can help others.
