I’ve been playing for the Senior Men’s National Team since 2019, and these past years have been an absolute honour and a blessing.

My focus for the 2026 World Championships is to stay present and back the boys as much as I can. Every contribution from the team gives us a chance to succeed, and I want to do my part in that.

I’ve always looked up to former South African goaltender Ashley Bock and former Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price. They’re incredible people and athletes, and they’ve been big inspirations for me since I started playing.

Mental preparation is a big part of my game. It starts hours before puck drop with a nap, some meditation, and spending time with the boys. That helps me get into the right headspace to perform at my best.

One of my best team memories was playing against Estonia in the Olympic Qualifiers a few years back. The group was completely united, and that feeling of everyone being on the same page made it really special.

I’ve been part of the national team for 9 years now, including 2020 and 2021, and it’s been a journey I’m grateful for.

What keeps me coming back each year is something deeper than just the game. It feels like a calling, like God wants me here and that what I’m meant to do in this team isn’t finished yet.

When it comes to big games, I don’t see them any differently. There’s no such thing as a “big game” to me, every game is just as important as the last. That mindset helps me stay level and focused.

If I had to describe my playing style in one word, it would be composure.

My go-to pre game song is Tell Em About Tonight by Luke Combs, it gets me in the right headspace before stepping onto the ice.
