💥 North Island saloon champs💥
On Saturday we made the trip to Stratford for North island saloon champs. With 2 heat races and a 1 race final.
Race 1- started grid 15. Cars sitting side by side most of the race made it hard to pass but managed to make my way to 9th.
Race 2- started grid 2. Clean race finishing in 2nd.
Finishing with a 9th and a 2nd gave me grid 7 for the feature race.
Feature race- started grid 7. Had a great start making my way up to 4th. Dropped a few spots due to a lapped car that nearly put me in the wall. Finished 5th overall at the North Island champs. Super happy with how the weekend went.
Massive thanks to my brother Matt for setting the car up great for each race. Big thanks to Dad, Mum, Callum, Ollie and Thanks to Kendall and Ryan for letting us stay for the weekend😊

Awesome little write up from king of the mountain champs🤴🏼
Gisborne driver takes out champs on Stratford track There were plenty of thrills at the North Island Superstock champs.
💥King of the mountain Saloon Champs🤴🏼💥
On Saturday we made the trip to Stratford to race in the king of the mountain champs.
Race 1- I started grid 2. I was very nervous sitting on the dummy grid as I had never race at Stratford before. I had a great start leading the race from start to finish. Finishing in 1st 🏁
Race 2- I started grid 7. Had a clean race but didn’t make many passes finishing in 5th place.
Race 3- I started grid 6. I was sitting 1st equal on points I knew I had to make passes to be able to podium. Had a really good start putting myself in 2nd place by lap 2. I then passed 16s for the lead and finished the race in 1st🏁
Overall we finished 1st on the podium making us “Queen” of the mountain 👸🏼. Congratulations to Bradley and Andrew on their placings.
Big thanks to Stratford speedway for putting on a great meeting and to the local saloon drivers and drivers rep for making us feel welcomed. We will definitely be back.

We were back at Wellington speedway on Saturday.
Race 1- I started grid 2. I had a good start leading the race from start to finish. Lapping a few cars and leading by over half a lap🏁
Race 2- I started grid 6. Track was a little wet for the first couple of laps but slowly made my way through the field to finish in 1st 🏁
Race 3- I started grid 4. Once again had a really good start making passes on the first lap finishing the race in 1st 🏁
Race 4- Sadly a few drivers weren’t able to race the 4th race. I started grid 3. Had a really good battle with Noel 19w for 1st and 2nd. Noel went wide leaving me a gap for me to pass him for the lead🏁

💥 Saloon New Zealand Champs💥
We headed up to Tauranga to compete in my first NZ title. The format was run out of 5 qualifying races to determine where you started in the one race final.
Day one:
Race 1: I had grid 12. First time ever racing on this track we struggled with set up a bit only making my way to 10th to finish there.
Race 2: I had grid 6. I made a couple of passes but racing with the top guys I was also passed putting me back to 6th place to finish there.
Race 3: I had grid 15. I moved forward to finish in 8th place.
Day 2:
After day 1 I was sitting in 26th place on points. With only top 20 cars going through to the final I knew I had to pass a few cars to make the top 20.
Race 4: I had grid 10. Matt had the car set up well making it easy for me to drive. Made my way up to 4th and finished there.
Race 5: I had grid 3. Matt made some changes to my car as the track changed through out the night making it easy for me to drive and finished I in 1st.
My points were then added up making me 13th over all which made me start grid 13 in the feature.
Final race: I started grid 13. Sadly this race didn’t end well for me. I was coming around to complete my 2nd lap when a car spun in front on me on turn 3. I had no where to go and I hit the spun car. This ruined the whole right front of my car. Ending this race with a Dnf.
A massive thanks must go out to my brother for setting up my car all weekend. Big thanks to dad, mum, Donald, Emma, Claudia, Cullen, Rose and fossil for all their help/support over the weekend.

💥Wellington champs💥
Bit slack on the updates but we have had a few weeks off with no racing due to the track conditions. Boxing Day We had a decent field of 14 cars. 12 in the grid and 2 off the back
First race I started grid 4 managed to make my way into 2nd by lap 3. Sitting in 2nd I hit a rut and bounced out letting 27p get passed me but managed to follow him as he passed 22w for the lead putting me back into 2nd to finish there.
Second race I started grid 10. I knew I had to make up some places. Managed to make my way up to 5th sadly I couldn’t get passed the car in front of me as I kept getting cut down on. Finishing in 5th. But sadly After myself and the other car coming into contact with each other the referees deemed me to be in the wrong and I got relegated 2 spots Finishing in 7th.
Third race I started grid 6. After being relegated I was sitting 4th on points going into the last race I knew I had to do some passing. I managed to make my way in to 1st place to finish there. Also got the fastest lap on the night.
This meant I had done enough to finish 2nd overall in the Wellington champs🥈
Congratulations to 27p Josh Smith on 1st place and 22w Dan Hole on 3rd place

✨ Wellington Fireworks night✨
First race I started grid 7. Once again we were up race 1 with a very wet and difficult track to read and very average driving from myself I only managed to make a few passes finishing in 4th.
Second race I started grid 3. Had a really good start sitting in 2nd by lap 2. Holding my race line trying high and low to pass the car in front but my race line kept getting taken therefor making it impossible for me to pass. Finishing the race in 2nd place.
Third race I Started grid 5. Making a few passes I made my way up to 3rd to finish there with the fastest lap of the race.
Massive thanks to Russ for coming over Saturday morning to fix the sign writing to keep the car looking mint.

Here is the design for the 22/23 season
Massive thanks to Russ for always making my car look great!
I loved being back out there but my night definitely had some highs and lows.
First race I started grid 5 with a really wet track it was hard to do any passing but slowly managed to make my way up to 1st to finish there. 🏁
Second race I started grid 1 with a great start i lead into the first corner to only realise I was heading to the wall noticing my steering wheel was not attached properly. Ended with a Dnf
(Biggest blonde moment ever)
Third race I started grid 9 making my way through to 2nd place to finish there.
Massive thanks must go out to Mark, Craig, Donald, dad, Matt and Brad for fixing my car after the second race to get me back out there for the 3rd race.

Looking forward to being back behind the wheel. See you track side!
2021/2022 season has officially come to an end.
Sadly myself and the family could not make it to prizegiving as I tested positive for Covid.
Absolutely wrapped to come away with Wellington saloon champ and best presented saloon car at this year’s prize giving.
With only doing 8 meetings this season because my engine wasn’t ready at the start of the season (sadly missing out on double points on opening night) and Covid played a big part in stopping us from racing.
Raced at Wellington, Napier and Palmerston North. We came away with:
24 races
18 top 3 finishes
5 5th to 10th finishes
1 DNF
A big thanks to my pit crew- Dad for doing absolutely everything on my car. Mum, brad, Matt, Ollie and Cory for hard work at the track.
Massive thanks to Rick for his hard work in building me an awesome engine.
Big thanks to all my sponsors. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without all your help

Saturday night I raced in Napier for the last meeting of the season. With 8 saloon cars and 2 super saloons.
Race 1- I started grid 7. I managed to make some passes to finish in 3rd. 🥉
Race 2- I started grid 1. With a very slick track surface I struggled a bit. Going into turn 3 of the first lap I got hit from behind which pushed me wide enough for a car to get underneath me. The track was wet and slick it was hard to get any drive up high. I followed in 2nd place for the whole race. Then going into turn 3 and 4 I stuck it on the high line to make the pass on the last corner to take the win. 🏁
Race 3- With me being top on points I started grid 1. With a wet and slick surface down low I got no drive going into the first corner. 27p took the lead and I followed in behind him to finish in 2nd. 🥈
With a 1st, 2nd and 3rd the team and I were happy with the results.
Big thanks to Mum, Dad and brad for all the changes you did at the track.

Race 1- started grid 4 made a couple of passes in lap 1 by lap 2 I was in the lead and finished in 1st🏁
Race 2- started grid 9 with a rutty track surface it made it hard to pass but managed to finish 3rd
Going into the last race I was 2nd on points behind 27p
