Dearest fans! Two days ago Vienna Queens made a very important decision. After trying to solve last game's tensions (Vienna Queens vs. Avengers) we realized that the position on basics of sportsmanship and respect as prayed for on the opening day of the latest season were not pursued, thus not given.
We want to make a statement about the importance of keeping respect, honesty and sportsmanship in sports like basketball and mostly during sports-competitions. As people look up to us while we respresent the team on the field, we also have a certain influence on the people watching the games which means we also need to set certain standards and represent a respective attitude, disagreeing with attitudes which cause tension and violent situations. Letting go of misbehaviour (without any consequences) is equivalent to accepting it, which is why we decided to resign from the Women's Division of FBW.
It's not about pride, it's not about the win, it goes much deeper: it is about what is right and what is wrong.
Nonetheless we wish all participating teams good luck for the remaining season.
Praying for your safety! Godbless you!

It is part of the game to get fouled while playing on the field, we also take the risk getting hurt when we get out to play on the field. BUT it can never be "part of the game" to be VERBALLY ATTACKED, get insulted and called names. Yesterday's game was very shocking for Vienna Queens, though we lost against Avengers, as the game proceeded the level of respect decreased. Even more it was shocking to see (the most shocking to see) that during and after our confrontation because of that, we saw "ADULTS", people who we call "TITOS and TITAS" laugh and maliciously commenting about it. Mind that this is a serious matter and the way you show (or not show) your concern about issues like that will be reflected by younger ones. We really hope that you all share our point of view that Basketball (like any other game) is not only about the win but also giving respect to the opponent, no matter how many fouls they perform, no matter how many times they may injure us.
Congratulations Avengers for last night's win.
Godbless you all.

Not on the field though, but still being part of the same team! It's been a long time and even after such a long time, it feels like it's been just yesterday that we saw each other!
Golden times with Vienna QUEENS! And most of all, HAPPY TIMES! :D
