Our skaters had lots of fun in Ghent last weekend at the Easter Cup - some of whom were taking part in their first International.

Here are our highlights:

Eli managed to get a new pb in his 500m and did some great racing over the weekend.

Woody has a new pb in the 500m and in his 777m, and at his first international really enjoyed making new friends and had lots of fun with his teammates.

Isla finished 14th overall in the 777 and and the 500m getting better with each race - also getting PBs in every race but 2! She had a great competition and fought hard with some lovely overtaking.

Fern finished 8th in her 500m and 1000m and made the 1500m
super final 2 coming first in her race. Showing again her 1500m is her strong distance!

Maddie in her first international really stepped up showing how much her racing is improving! She achieved a new PB in her 222m, and finishing 7th overall out of 15 and coming 3rd overall for junior F girls.

Many of our skaters also took part in the relay.

Woody and Isla alongside Charlie from Cambridge Ice Skating Club and Daniel from Aldwych Speed Club came 1st in their C/D 3000m Relay group leading out from the start, finishing 4th in the overall classification.

Zayah (ALD) and one of the Nottingham skaters were also part of the winning E/F 2000m relay team with two other international skaters in their Group finishing 1st and then 1st overall in the classification.

Maddie raced her first relay at the competition which she loved, and in her team were two YDS Hasselt skaters and a skater from Short Track Club Kristallijn. They came 2nd in their E/F relay group finishing 4th overall. Well done!

Ferns team took part in the 3000m in a mixed team called the European Leftovers (great name) coming 2nd in their race.

Thanks to all the parents and coach Mandy for supporting the team last weekend and the skaters from
Cambridge and Aldwych who helped make it a fun competition for everyone.

All our skaters had lots of fun - well done to the organisers and volunteers and we look forward to next year!

Last weekend there was lots of World Championship action but we also had our younger skaters competing in Guildford and also David competing in the Polish National Junior C competition.

He got some really good results in the competition and we are pleased to see the improvements he made over the weekend.

Polish Championships Junior C Results:

1500m - Final A - 4th place and double PB.

500m - Final A - 3rd place

1000m - Final B - 1st place

What a weekend in Montréal for Niall Treacy 🇬🇧

From racing into his first ever World Championship final, to now standing proudly on the world podium with 1000m bronze at the ISU CNSG Short Track World Championships.

An incredible performance, an unforgettable moment, and the perfect way to cap off an incredible Olympic season.

⚡ Annabelle Green advances!

A brilliant skate from Annabelle Green sees her win the 500m repechage at the ISU CNSG Short Track World Championships in Montréal 🇬🇧

That victory sends Annabelle through to the 500m main rounds later today, starting with the Quarter Finals at 7:35pm (UK time).

A fantastic day for our skaters at the Aldwych Speed Club competition.

Fern came 3rd in the top group and also 1st in the women’s!l category.

Feyzi came 1st in group 3.

All our other skaters put on some amazing performances and we expect to see quite a few pb’s from the event when the protocol comes out too!
