My fun hangover recovery story.

Here’s my pitch: five minutes of varied, fascial-focused movement does more for your mobility than 30 minutes of the same stretches you always do.

Your fascia (the webbing that covers every muscle fiber/bundle/group, organ and bone in your body) thrives on novelty. Give it different shapes, different ranges, different speeds.

Do the “normal” poses in a new way. Break the rules, mess with things.

If you feel stiff, achy and older than you are 🤣, your fascia is probably the culprit.

We are re-patterning our fascia this month at It’s All Yoga. I’ve already made two short practice videos that will leave you feeling hydrated, supple and free… in addition to our live classes.

Check it out! Message me or go to the link in my bio.

You don’t need to stretch harder.

Winter stiffness is often a hydration + fascia issue, not a motivation issue.

This month inside It’s All Yoga, we’re exploring movement that rehydrates your tissues, restores glide, and helps your body feel more like home again.

✨ You can try the studio free for 10 days—no pressure, no fixing, just movement that meets you where you are.

I’d love to connect and answer any questions. It’s a lovely community here - your body deserves this kind of care.

Last year was a year of growth — slow growth. Growth that comes from dedication and consistency. Growth that grows from passion and purpose. Slow is the pace of sustainability and personal connection. Slow is my pace!

Someone recently reflected to me that my nature is brick by brick. I am willing to put in the time and I do it with integrity and skill, because I know I’m building something that will last, something that has great impact.

Running a business is no joke. I’ve always said that business is spiritual, because it brings you up against all of your fears, insecurities and neuroses. Thank goddess I love what I do.

This was also a big year for me personally. It feels like a new chapter in many ways, one where I am more sure, more confident and giving even fewer fks.

Wishing you connection, depth and meaning in all your relationships, including the one with yourself.

With love,
Michelle

This is truly an essential question if you are coming back from an injury or illness, starting or ramping up your training, or setting a goal.

It’s one of the most important questions I keep in mind when working with a new client.

The answer dictates the first step, as well as the overall approach.

If this speaks to you and you are not sure which direction to go or how to move forward…

OR if you know you need one or the other and want loving support and encouragement to get you there, I offer two idea ideas/invitations at the end of the video. Or just DM me.

MMC starts Jan 18.
IAY is infused with my 25 years of community building, expert space holding and brilliant practices.

Let’s hang out!

It’s hard to communicate the depth of the work we do at It’s All Yoga.

Are there yoga classes? Yes.

Is there strength training? Yes.

Do people get stronger safely, enjoy a good stretch after a long day at the computer, down regulate when they are feeling the stresses of the world?

Yes.

And… It’s so much deeper than that. It’s the difference it makes in their lives. Which is hard to quantify.

Here are just a few emails I have received recently…

If you are looking for a community, movement that works for your changing body and hormonal reality…

Or even if you are NOT looking for it – it just might be the thing you didn’t know you needed.

There’s a 10 day free trial so you can check it out without risk. Cancel anytime.

It goes without saying that how you start something greatly impacts how it goes.

I never feel this more than when I skip my morning practices. Having a routine I can count on is grounding and helps my focus the rest of the day.

It’s cliché to say “fill your own cup first.” But as a recovering people pleaser, it’s easy for me to forgo the things that are most grounding for me. Prioritizing myself is a practice.

If for some reason I can’t do these small gestures of care, I am more scattered, less effective and easily distracted! (Hello vata season.)

Starting my day off like this is how I get in rhythm for my work, how I’m so productive and creative, and why I can give so much to my students and clients.

Thank you to and for the reflection on the messier, behind the scenes parts of my business. There’s no “work“ if I’m not taking care of myself!

What helps set the course of your day? Your coffee Ritual? Journaling? Movement? I’d love to hear…

I am doing the Insta+Connect Challenge with and one of the prompts is to share a dream I had as a kid and how it connects (or doesn’t) to what I am doing now.

I grew up on my horse, Snoopy. He was my best friend. We rode in the woods, I hung out with him in the field, I loved to groom and care for him. We also rode in our tiny-town parade every year.

After thinking about this question of how my childhood love and interest is reflected in the work I do today, here’s the memory that came.

When I was somewhere around fifth or sixth grade, new neighbors moved in behind us. It was a family that included a girl a few years younger than me… and she wanted to learn to ride a horse.

I came up with a plan. I would give her a certain number of lessons and teach her basic skills. I figured out what I would cover and where to start. I told her it would be five dollars a lesson.

I never heard back about my “proposal.” I don’t know if her parents said no, if they didn’t want to pay for it, or if she lost interest.

What really makes me smile about this memory is that some part of me knew I was a natural teacher. I can see a big picture and envision the path to a goal. Part of my genius is breaking things down and making them understandable.

Another thing that strikes me is my 10-year-old entrepreneurial spirit! It didn’t seem at all inappropriate to ask to be paid for my time, skills and experience.

Lastly, although I didn’t crave the spotlight, I learned to adapt to having eye on me. I was in our parade every year for seven years. And won a trophy every year – later realizing I was probably the only entry in my category!

I was not an overly confident kid, unless it came to my relationship with Snoopy. He taught me how to be a leader, how to forgive, how to fall hard and get back up, how to be creative (oh, the apparatus I MacGyvered for us to jump over!), and mostly how to love.

This was such a rich reflection. Take a moment to consider your true loves of childhood and what you learned and they might still live in you today. I’d love to hear.
