TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS. TC showed up bright and early for Day 2 of the Championship round. Stepping on the field at 7am, with a possible 4 games ahead of them, was quit the docket for our boys today. But if there's one characteristic about these kids, it is their passion for baseball!
Game 1 led off against the Bergen Express. TC didn't seem to have too much trouble as they were able to steal the 7-3 win. Immediately following TC took on the East Coast Eagles. The game held tight at a 3-1 score until TC found momentum with a huge 6 run 5th inning. TC chalked the win on the board, walking away 9-1. Two games down, TC went on to face the Glen Allen Extreme. This one was a nail biter as the score held at 1-0 for 6 innings. TC held strong with exceptional pitching and defense to win 2-0. With 3 wins down, TC went into it's final game of the day to face off with the SAME team that knocked them into the loser's bracket, CT Edge. The team dug deep, exhausted after 3 games, to produce 3 runs over the course of the game. TC proved their passion for the game, by finding their rhythm and beating the Edge 3-1.
This win guarantee's TC a top 3 finish in the Championship round, but more importantly, continues their hunt for the title. The boys will also get the pleasure of playing at the CWS Champion's field, Coastal Carolina! The boys need 3 more wins to take the title. Keep an eye out for Game Changer link tomorrow morning. The first game will start at 6am COLORADO time. Say your prayers, sing your chants, cheers your glasses, do a little dance or perform whatever ritual you see fit to wish our boys the best in their efforts tomorrow!!
